You'll find me there.
Discover my smile.
I'll be confused, and so will you,
But it won't last for long.
Because you and I were never meant for this place.
Soon you'll see-
We're better with wings.
It's in the air,
Reaching out for a hundred…
Your love is like finger nails on a chalkboard
Your love is like throwing myself overboard
A breakdown on a motorway
A heart attack on Christmas day
Like scaling a cliff then falling off
Like trying not to cough
And I didn't see this one coming…
Music and lyrics by Brian Vaughn.
I shouldn't have to say this, but I can't stand this silence.
And I wonder if you know what i'm going through.
It seems way too common for words and acts to disagree,
But I expected more from you.
I told…
This is what the creative process looks like. The music, especially the guitar playing if unique and captivating.
The singing is different too. I think it's the phrasing that is catching my attention.
Well Done!

Guitar co-written with Karl Ridgeway.
I can feel her slowing down.
She turns her head to me, and I know her mind.
No words are said as I lay down.
We'll be safe together here.
It's all I have.
Can't you…

Just flipped open the laptop to this here on alonetone. Just an outstanding track. The opening buck-fifty-seven of guitarwork is simply brilliant... And the song only gets better with the spot-on vocals.
Radio-ready.
I know before I've mentioned hints of Matthew Sweet (in all the great vocal delivery and outstanding songwriting) and Foo Fighters (with the incredibly guitar-driven arrangements and counterpoint of clean and edgy), but this music is so much more than the sum of those parts. I suspect that if either Mr. Sweet or Mr. Grohl heard this track, they'd say, "Damn, I wish I'd written that."
This song delivers like a powerfully honest stream of consciousness that leaves me thinking of one word only...
Integrity.
Outstanding track, Brian. This truly is music at its best.

Love, love, love...
Look up and down.
There are shapes in the clouds,
And ants on the ground who march in line,
To the roots of a tree,
Whose bark carries the name,
Of a girl whose boy thought her worth…

Just repeat what they say to me.
Assume I'll automatically agree, and I-

Or shut-up if I don't agree with

Damn, man... Always blown away by your professional sound. Music like this is the reason why I haven't bought a commercial album in years. There ain't anything on the radio I'd rather listen to.

Lyrics ---
Long time love always hit the road running.
Got a hairpin trigger and a problem with drinking.
You brought your mouth to a gun fight darling.
Automatic mind got the last word coming around…
So I was locked in the broom-cupboard, checking out some old songs that need recording.
I'd just picked one and then suddenly this thing came out of nowehere. It started with one of those guitarist doodles that other musicians love so much…
You and me both, buddy! Haha. Nah I kid. It just seems really hard to get people to listen to new music. There's just so much of it around. :)
But thanks again. Much appreciated.
Sometimes, all you need to do is decide that you're gonna save yourself.
COMING UP OVER THE RISE
So low I couldn't see the skies
The shadows had me hypnotized
Climbing high, sun in my eyes
I was down, but now I'm coming up over the rise…
Icarus Syndrome
===============
In darkness I have flown
In darkness I have died
Dead and dreaming to a world
of absolutely nothing that I find
Am I really lost?
Am I really gone?
Choices have consequence
At least we know where ours are…
Thanks man. I really appreciate the kind words you left on my AT page this evening. (Sorry for replying in the form of a comment, but I'm not sure how to send private messages on this site.)
It's massively late tonight but I'll give your tunes a listen tomorrow. :)

Yes, I performed all of the instruments (as well as the vocals).
I did use a lot of compression, you're right. I wanted to get the overall volume to a certain level, but... it always comes with the trade-off yeah.
Thanks though. :)
I'm not on top of it as usual, guys. But I did manage to let Greg Brady out of my basement and set him free. This is his testimonial regarding the incident. I hope he can forgive me.
Thanks for the extremely kind comment on "Oh, My Mind" :)
Just thought I'd let you know that the finished version is now up. I hope you enjoy it as much as the demo.
New original. I hope you find it enjoyable. And if you're willing to leave a comment, I'd love to hear your feedback. :)
Lyrics, for those who like them:
Grey fisted clouds in the sky. Plaid skirt and innocent eyes,
And I am no longer sane…
After the Alonetone meetup in Dublin, I promised Tess & Bethan I'd get my finger out and finish/upload some more stuff. So this is the first thing that's reached "good enough" stage. A trancey/ravey number featuring monotron samples after…
Check out this new song written by my friend William Gittens featuring different Berklee artists, It's dedicated to the state of our world and the destruction in Japan.
Take a minute to watch and send your thoughts to the troubles of this planet…
This is a song about Love... In a bizzar way, I had fun very much recording it... I feel so good with lyric, rythms and the Voice... This Track was produce by @JandyAndrey and the mix, voice, record and the lyrics is by Me @HendrikGarcia
Love like a salt river washing away
Love's like sunshine evaporate
Love like floating candles blowing away
Watch out for the way you'll compensate
When I've seen all you have to give
When I'm still hungry
I need more than this
Tell me how…
the first done song from "the Hardest Blow" featuring vocals from Keith Martin.
If you’re waiting for the fall
If you’re pushing on the wall
If you’re listening for the call
It’s not coming
If you’re pushing on the wall
If you…

No explanations left to give apologies over
She wanted more than the story, but nobody told her
I hear the insane are hardly worth the medication
But she'd like the story just the same, for when she gets older
It's not the end…
Pillow head and eyelid skies, no dark thoughts beneath the shallow water.
But further out and deeper down sink the stories that you taught me.
Of horsemen and a dying land, and both of them become my masters.
Life was filled with guns and war…
You go and I stay.
Almost like before, I think.
Don't you notice now?
Always I lag behind you.
Stutter-step to notice me.
Shyness looks at tennis shoes,
Studies things you'll never see.
Will you ever see me?

Really fine performance and composition. the mix is excellent. I enjoyed that
Most excellent song. Wonderful music and vocals.
Lovely harmonies. Great song Bri!
Great tune.
Rocks.
This is great. The guitars just talk back and forth and your knowledge of vocal harmonics really makes the song unique and powerful.

Say something Bethan Mathis? Uh, umm, oh my! Almost speechless. What talent! This is superb!

Sounding good guys :) "Passing Rain" is my favorite.
Thanks for the extremely kind comment on "Oh, My Mind" :) Just thought I'd let you know that the finished version is now up. I hope you enjoy it as much as the demo.
Thanks so much for the kind words. @regs: I could call it finished, you're right. Feels like there's still more to it / in it though. We'll see.
Nice music to program to :)
Really nice sounds. Relaxing!
Not normally my style but I dig this also!
Very pretty song and very nice vocals also. One of my favorite songs I've heard on Alone Tone in a while!
I like it. Can't fully understand the lyrics at times but it's got a nice sound and movement to it.
Also awesome.
I like it! :)
Pretty :)
I like this. Dig your voice, and it's got a nice flow to it - but it ends too soon. Make it longer!
lol... "K" indeed.
How do you feel about an electronic cover version? :)
@sister Thanks! :)
@sister savage mmmkay but only a little mmmore because i ran out of steam. :) (just added another 40 seconds or so to the tune)
