This is a remix of an improvised track I did for our first RPM album. For this new mix, I got rid of the vocals & added a most excellent electric guitar part by our good friend, Chris Mitchell. He listened to the track just once and proceeded…

Left here smilin' but you came back mean
Ain't no need to tell me, I know where you've been
Ya tell me you love me, an' you really care
an' if you just had some more, you'd be happy to share
You came back wantin' once you'd lost in all…

This started as I was finishing off the comment to "I Promise" and I was grabbed immediately by the Didgeriedoo like sound ....which ,hey I presume is a didgeridoo ?
I have one of those which I can drone ,but I am buggered if I can get the hang of circular breathing....hey the production on this is excellent at about 05:00 the tinklesa and then the hand drums (sorry I am shite when it comes to id'ing various ethnic and "primitive" drums)The talking in the background really works quite well.Ah there they go ,clearing off ...and in comes another...the background chirping at the transition and then a bit more reminds me of living in Singapore and the variety of night time noises that serensded you to sleep....or frigging well kept you awake depending on the time of year and how loud they were !
Ar these your percussion sounds...you must sharethe same playroom as Norm ....cool beats and rhythms .....At ten minutes I have hit the download button this is a definite keeper......this is almost soporiphic, and I mean that in a good way at about 12:00 plus i am almost more chilled than I have been for a little while ....nearly nodding off....nice little rhythm and echo set up going on here....we seem to be drawing to the end of this nocturnal journey with the inclusion of some synth swoops and swirls....sunrise ..dawn ..? and a fade ...excellent.
Most fun and enjoyed....sorry about tye blow by blow commenting but I got a little caught up in the moment .See Ya Later

I seem not to have got the hang of replying to comments...so I will tag my answer to your question re "Jumbled Layer"..all instruments were Weltmeister Stella 60 bass Ackordeen I only picked that up in September so am not very good with it yet...Squier Strat,Vintage 6 string Banjo (which is a nightmare to keep in tune ) and triangle played on the yammy keyboard...the only "fake" instrument.....as I type this out in my single simple fingered way I been listening to" I Promise"....very soothing and restful....some really nice improv going on ...the guitar fiddle has a smooth and mellow voice...great stuff......

Nicely done sirrah...now I remember why it is that I came back by here again ....the juxtaposition of the bass drum with the jazzy high tones are spot on and make an atmospheric blend....that guitar is how I like it...understated ,simpl sounding single notes strung out to their extremeties....NOT a simple technique....great first tune to come back to...
Cheers Jarvoid
This track has the best drum work I've heard from you Paul. Are you playing a midi kit or programming by hand? The fill at 1:11 is super tight. Okay, I'm inspired! Gonna go lock myself in the music room for the night....
Love the beginning of this... favorited just from the piano riff & then that muted horn sound comes in too! So tasty...
So is this gonna be an instrumental album? I might have to steal this track when we're done with November!
Seriously man, this one of my all-time favorite things I ever heard from you -- and that my friend is saying something!
Hey this is supposed to be a solo album project! No fair, you brought Noah and all those Guardians of the sky! You know I love this one! The ending reminds me of a Sphongle track. Have you ever heard those dudes?
Dudes! Do you know there is over 4 minutes and 20 seconds of silence at the end of this track? I sat through all of it thinking there was some sort of bonus cut coming or something... (but I'm a dork like that) Anyway, I understand not wanting to hassle with fixing clams and such, but you could at least lop off the last third of the track that contains no music?! :-) Oh, by the way, did I say KILLER TRACK! Love your tones, guys! Looking forward to hearing more. More notes, less silence! :-)

Comments on Cave Street's stuff
Very cool....nice feel and ambiance to it
The tones and sub bass kick butt on my 800 watt studio monitors, cool.
I really like this! Very pretty.
Cool. I missed this, thanks Djork.
Really excellent stuff and i only have my iphone with no headphones to listen on right now :)
Damn nice! Love that guitar. Thanks for listening man and have a good Christmas yourself!

Nice improv man!
Ah, nice. Simple, but it takes me places.
Beautiful tone. I could listen all night.
My gosh, you guys are the ad lib kings! Magical guitar tone. Love the brooding percussion also.
Hey, tha,nks for listening! Great song; haunting, and in the beginning it has a bit of a Tool feel.
I like it! I gotta get me an electric cigar box!
smoother than babies bottom........
I love the floating feel this has.
Cheers, Jarvoid!

This is not a song one can approach lightly. You've done good, Keith!

Wow, I want to see the movie that goes with all these killer soundtrack pieces. Damn dude. Rock on!
Marching o'er EPIC vistas with this one... but I like how you make time for a side trip to funkytown too!

Great little tune!!
We gotta do another track one of these days, Jim.
Love it!

Hey Reg, major accomplishment this year with this epic concept album! Thanks for sharing your music.
hope at last
Like Andrew, I'm hoping this tale has a happy ending... not looking too good for old Reg right now...
another highly creative track from the prolific mind of the Reg(s)... I really like your use of percussion on these last couple of tracks. What are you using for these sounds, Trev?
The intertwining lead guitars on the breaks remind me of The Bevis Frond.
What a heavy opening track, Reg! Wow, I can tell this is gonna be an epic album. Great acoustic sounds, btw...
Really enjoyed your RPM disc -- hope to hear more of your music here on alonetone!
I dig this opening track... some of your sounds among the layers and some of your vocal phrasing reminds me of Spiritualized. (nice!)
