A WildGeas and Cave Street collaboration
You see me and I see you
Is that what's real?
You say bad and I say good
Which one is real?
When you do the things you do
Then how do you feel?
There's a time
There's a season
For change…
A WildGeas and CaveStreet collaboration
some say once upon a time
there was a line
that was never meant to be crossed
if ever that occurred
you might have heard
an innocence would have to be lost
but having crossed that line
I can…
The first WildGeas and Cave Street collaboration
There ain't nothin' I could buy
that can ever calm me down
So I leave my money at home
when I go into town
I put on my fightin' hat
an' I wear my dancin' shoes
An' if I miss my ride…

And suddenly I am slinky, despite being up to my arms in...it doesn't matter. Love this - great swing to it, fantastic vocals and, of course, class song-writing.

The Man
There he stands, shaking hands
smiling wide with his joker smile
promises spew out of his mouth
do you believe
all he wants to do is steal the breath that feeds your child

Close Your Eyes
close your eyes , close your eyes maybe you will see
close your eyes ,maybe it will take you back to that place and all the good times that we had when we were skipping stones, can you remember, remember that…
First side closer by Kent Good.
This song was recorded our first session of the month. We were playing as a five piece and i really love the sound. This is one of KGs best song to date.
I rarely play music with other people, firstly because I lack the technical skill to follow another's lead. I can do little more than improvise. Secondly, the sort of music I aspire to make is rarely the music other folks would be interested in…

Anything for You
Some rise early, some rise late
Some're up til morning light, some go to bed at eight
I'll be there baby whenever you tell me to
I guess you know by now, I'll do anything for you
Some like to rock, some…
I wrote these words for a different WildGeas track some time ago -- probably at least a couple years ago by now. As is so often the case, I was too slow in producing and someone else had already taken the track and run with it. Well, these lyrics were just sitting unused in a pile of other less finished scraps that I happened to be digging through recently when I remembered Paul's request for lyrics for this year's RPM. I'm so glad they finally got used! You guys took them out of the context they were written for and put a nice new spin on 'em. You two make a really great team and I must say I'm proud to have been allowed to contribute a small part. Lord knows you don't need another lyricist when you've got REG on the job!! :-)

The purpose of such un-competition is making some music with Linux tools, and then share it.
The premise for this…
Woah! Dig that intense shift a minute and a half or so into this when that *kick ass* guitar kicks in... wicked. And the bonus ending too... so what is your native language?
Too early? Too late? It's only a laugh :)
I am a Beatles and Lennon obsessive (had to explain that because some people thought you wouldn't get it otherwise)
Anyhoo hope you enjoy my last upload as a 47 year old...:(

wow Johnny, somewhere around two minutes in, this just comes together beautifully. Just gorgeous! I can imagine a harpsichord voice working well with this one.
Comments on Cave Street's stuff
Lovely and melodic, nice one Michael.
Smoooooooth!
The other side of Cave Street. Neato!
Like this a lot.
Sweet track man!
This is awesome!!
cosmic cool :D
Like being part of someone else's dream.
I like the band sound on here, it fits so well. Good one.
Oh yeah, easy cool!
I love this track, thank you so much for it's return to my fave page.
Nice singing. This one is really beautiful. Nice work.
This is awesome!
I like this tune, the harmonica and slide guitar especially. - I enjoyed my mid-winter rollicking very much thank you :)
This is a phenomenal collaboration. You absolutely bring out the best in each other. Love the brass in this track esp. Very quirky and cool.
PS - Loving Wildstreet!

"Do" it again Cave Street! Nice!
Good track!
Just perfect. I'm so glad this old goose landed on Cave Street.

This record is off to a great start! What kind of guitar are you playing the lead acoustic part with, Greg?
beautiful work here, Richard!
that's quite a recap tucked into this four minute nugget! But the best part is the message at the end...
this one could go on... a beautyful little mood piece
This is a really good one too... great guitar & keys. Another great collab! /faved/
Wicked guitar right off the bat! So far this is my favorite Reg/Geas track...
Woah, Reg channeling Roger Waters on this one, eh?
NIce song, fellas.... I especially liked that guitar break in the first half - that was tight. Cool coda too.
this is quite nice! we're looking forward to hearing more of your improvisations.

Excellent track, gotta check out the rest of this collab!
Thanks for the lyrics! And here's to 48! Cheers! - Tennessee
alonetone needs a rewind button for songs like this! it would be swell if you'd post the words... very clever song!
I'd like to put a couple of these pieces on WUTZ radio 88.3 Fm here in Summertown, TN. Let me know if that's cool with you, Johnny...
I like the contrasting voices on this one -- some of the effects/voices on this album are very psychedelic!
/Dramatic!/ Johnny, this is good stuff; its really great to hear your playing! Still hoping for another collab some day. :-)
