Hard song to sing, you made it beautiful and easy. Lovely track.

I decided to focus by timeboxing the amount of time I spent on drums, bass and lead into 30 min sections based on the pomodoro technique. The idea was to spend 5 mins picking the sound for each part, then 25 mins making some loops with it to arrange…

A morning storm recorded in the courtyard and a musical motif written in the evening. combined time working-- 45 minutes, interrupted by a phone call from the parents to see if I was still alive.

Wow! I'm blown away by the responses to this song. Thanks so much. I'm glad that folks are listening. The Chairs are still very much in love with one another and dream of a reunion to finish up our second album (it was never completed)and maybe make another one. We had an incredibly productive 2 year run as a band, recording two full length cd's and going on 2-3 southeastern tours. Seems like we played together 3-4 days a week during that time. Chairs have worked together on various projects/ bands throughout the past decade. Robby and Aaron live in Orlando, FL and play together in an awesome band called Murph. Angela and Crystal live in Raleigh, NC and are about to partake in some music making together. Crystal is working on two new cd's. Don Undeen lives in NYC and plays in a fantastic band called Nervous Cabaret.

Turn this one up REALLY FREAKING LOUD! Written, recorded and polished off in about 45 minutes or so. Clearly my British influence shines forth in this one, right down to the SG through a Vox amp tones and backward riffs here and there. (and…

This one almost got abandoned, I didn't seem to be getting anywhere with it. It started as I was looking for a sound for another track (which really isn't getting anywhere) and I came across a chime sound that I thought would be lovely with a…

Never throw anything you've created away. I've come close and always been happy about keeping stuff later. As to this track, supercool. Especially when that buzzy thing comes sweeping through. Awesome.

Something completely different- Uilleann pipes(Irish bagpipes) and synth. I wrote this tune over 20 years ago in the style of traditional Irish slow airs. It was recorded way back in 1991 for an album that's been out of print for over 15 years…

This song is emotional and vibe-drenched. Reverse guitars, flutes, dulcimer, harmonium and panpipes make an interesting mix for this song. The vocal could almost make you cry.
