The first bioelectrophilia track since returning to the US. This song was made with only 2 saki monkey vocalizations. Note the beginning of the song which demonstrates how one vocalization was turned into part of the percussion.
Man, I wish I had this track last Wednesday night when I mixed some of your other bioelectrophilia tracks at the "Sound Ecology" event that I told you about. Lots of positive comments from audience members. Keep bringing it.
I like it as well, I want it to continue. Have you listened to Sometimes hide? There are similarities in the bass, and I also recommend Invisible friend.
i should rename this track... there. it became the sound track to a short film i produced called "Ztileeb". a film i'd be happy to share with anyone should they wish to see it.
i've often used self recorded ambient sounds in my tracks. this…
This is the first cover song I've ever really recorded in my 15 years of playing and recording.
The guitar and voice are each full continuous takes, I didn't want to do comping (copy and pasting), though the vocal harmony parts were done in…
What a coincidence! I was listening to a Iron and Wine cover from Kina Grannis (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jzhp1Nd92kA) today and now I discovered you did one, too.
Good work!
Martin
After an adventure in re-recording the entire song down a third, we came back to the original, tightened and tuned.
Always the self flagellating perfectionist, it still needs a bit more love. Always the pragmatist, it is probably done for now.
yes, stuck in my head too. This track is great, and not just because the hi-hat is a nano-second of an elephant vocalization ;) Well composed, performed, recorded, produced, remixed... more please!
