Even though I wasn't submitting myself to the 24 hour torture, I couldn't let the weekend pass without posting at least something...
Another Elysium powered track.
And no, that's not really a sample of Darth Vader. Wouldn't want Lucas…
For The Good of The Colony: a song about a people who traded in their rights for the sense of pastoral protection.

Imagine that you are that lump of enchanted wood on the workbench.... and instead of Pinocchio you can be anything... maybe even a stratavarious... thanx to my friend Dave Edwards for the real violin trax
A further march down the road in acl's evolution - and one of the many directions we've been dying to get to... it's, ummm, water-y. (And this song is especially dedicated to J Wentz.)

Hey, Thanks! The main software was Ableton Live on a Mac on one end and FLStudio + Acid on the Windows on the other. (See? we can all get along after all ;) A whole mess of VST plugins as well.
I also like what you have going here. There's a confused timeline, anachrony, retrofuturism - at times it reminds me of Matt Johnson/The The's first album Burning Blue Soul. These tracks really evoke the time pressure that impacted the forging of them.
While my wife and I were travelling back down the coast of California (near Big Sur) from a vacation around New Years, we stopped at a turnout over a cliff, and took a bunch of video of at least 15 California Condors, flying and hanging out on…

YOU'VE GOT GIRLS
i told you once

have you been good
let's chat
i told you before
i made it clear
you keep on actin that way…
Yay, glad to see the incomparable A&M (and the unusual suspects) here too! Always love your singing and harmonies. Mr. FunkyMonk did a great job with the music (sounds like a real sax?) Fun lyrics, unfortunately reminds me of my old best friend from high school (uh, long ago), who left a trail of girls I had to console.
I knew this would be a rewarding listen (like all of your stuff) - but man... all this in 24? Outstanding! Loved the crunch - but the last seven minutes are just plain wonderfully melodic. Wow. Excellent work (as usual) Brando... now get yourself some well deserved sleep. ;) k (& w)

Heh. This is clever. You could probably put a horror twist on it - any tree turned into an instrument would have to be cut into pieces first. =)
Beautiful, Colin, of course.
