Written for an upcoming Blues competition as one of several songs being considered for the contest. I sprung this on my friend Chris, without warning last night and pushed the record button.

OMG! Another total masterpiece. I love the chorus on this so much. Total earworm for the day. Good luck with the competition. You’ve got a real winner here.
Too many rainy days lately, so what is a boy to do? Write a song!

I read all the lyrics before I had a chance to listen. Excellent poetry indeed. I wanted to know where you were finding that peaceful road. Somewhere north I’m guessing. Great melody and lovely arrangement. Another instant fav!!!

#RPM Challenge 2013#
Oh it caught me by surprise
I Looked into your pretty eyes
Nothing more than a simple kiss
And a moment like this
We don’t need no fancy cars
Diamond Rings that shine like stars
You never really asked for more
Than moments…
I wrote this song 5 years ago and have recorded a new version of it every year since (I think). This version features a Baritone 8 String guitar and Mandolin.
Old stuff new stuff.
Jb is Justified Brutality also if marked JB because I can't remember the password.
RR is Rectal Rip, and its worse than JB but is also weirder.
This song is for my work as an English teacher. I train up primary school children and then record them singing it. if all goes well, I give them an mp3 with their vocals in it and cut mine out.

This is my second piece for the RPM challenge... And it's a big milestone for me... the first time I ever played my own instrument along with it! It's rough, but you gotta keep trying and start somewhere, right? Greg Connor... you'll understand…
B U R N
That sensation you are feeling in your fingertips is progress.
This is a big milestone for you! I'm proud of you.
There is no going back now . . . no more putting up with some obnoxious guitar player who thinks he knows everything. Now the song will sound as you intended it.
I think those chord changes sound darn good and the ukulele turns out to be an excellent accompaniment for your voice.
*** For those who have not met Penelope, I'll just say she is a REAL LOOKER! Spruce top and block inlays just like my Gibson SG Custom ***

Full moon, full of mystery
Full moon, shadows thru the trees
I can feel your spell, I’m beggin at you please
So long I been straight and true
No wrong has come into view
I can feel that dark side, all because of you
Way down…
Here's another contribution to the RPM this year Track 02....Reg is starting to realize whats important in his life.....
LOOKING WANTING NEEDING LOVE
Been a puppet, a pirate, a poet, a king
a rich man, poor man, beggar man, thief

One of my personal favorite recordings from the 52 song MYTHOPOETICA demo collection, even though there’s a sound quality issue (the bass had a bit of a buzz). This was my first time using a wammy bar – I liked it!
PLASTIC GIRL
You can’t…
It's great to catch up with you Vern! I hope you are doing well.
I can't remember .10cent popcorn, but I remember .25cent gas.
I also remember watching the movie twice before we left the theater.
Steve (SLKrell) and I have been competing over the same *"IMAGINARY"* girlfriend for years now.
And Yep . . . Steve started it. Well she's mine now, at least until Steve writes the next song. Look for Steve's music here:

Here is a new mix, compliments of Gene Eric Mann.
Gene didn't say this, but I'd like to think that he wanted to make sure that Steve heard every word clearly.
Thanks Gene!
ADOBE & BLOOD
Thanks to David Kneller
for bringing up the subject
and creating that phrase:
ADOBE & BLOOD
I read a lotta stories about a lotta stuff
But I tell ya folks, I'll never read enough
To block out the memories what…
Man . . . I like this.
Beautiful. You have captured the bitter sweet volitily in the January 2015 market for sure. I'll bet your 2014 piece had all major chords in it.
Update: Gene offered to improve the Mix on this song! This is that improved version. Thanks so much Gene! You are awesome!!!
I wrote this song earlier this summer, and had played it a few times with Greg Connor, fellow alone toner, and…
*Another example where the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts*
I think this live version is better than anything we could have ever cooked up in my basement no matter how much wine we drank.
Thanks to Gene's help, this remix has a lot more definition.
Bottom line, it's better when everyone comes together to contribute.
Of out tonight for a drink with a few friends but not til 9 so i thought i'd try to write a song and i think i have . i think i'll revisit it later to re-do but for now it will have to do. Hope you enjoy!! A heart-breaker for a Friday night…

I didn’t think people living in Portsmouth (Paradise) ever got the blues. It’s fun to catch up to you Roger!
O M G I didn't recognize you until I clicked play! That voice gave you away. Nice song, introspective and pleasing to listen to.
Wow. . . I had to stop by just to hear what "Rectal Rip" was all about.
Very interesting. That mandolin really perks the piece up.
I like this! Good song!

Good ear Ron! Yes, that's my old Dobro, built in 1973 tuned to open D and played with a slide.
That Wah Wah is fun!
Beautiful song Colleen! Great way to start the challenge.
Tasty . . . Nice start to the challenge.
