That one is getting added to my collection of late night highway cruising tunes. Wish I'd had it when I used to drive all night between gigs in your general neck of the woods. Don't have that much use for the collection these days, but ya never know.
Here is a Steve Krell song.
Buck Erpestad and I recorded live using two acoustic guitars.

This might be my favorite SLKrell song.
This is an impromptu version that Buck & I played with the tape rolling.

I had fun singing this at the open mic this past week.
Originally written for a song writing challenge using the phrase *"Chicken Plucking Time In Petaluma"*
I've been teasing Steve (SLKrell) about Rose, from Las Cruces Nevada, ever since he wrote a song about her for Valentines Day a few years ago.
Rosie is a figment of our imagination. I wrote a song about stealing her away from Steve:

Just like two sides
Of the same silver dollar
We’re not alike but still the same
And your big life
Makes mine look smaller
I wonder if you know my name
I wait around
You might be calling
A telephone that never rings
End of the day…
Just like two sides

Who needs a DAW anyway? The recording is me pressing foot switches for looper memory location number nine; guitars were recorded thru my pedalboard's various effects into my Boss RC-500.
Sometimes writing a song is the very best and only thing you can do....
Cold Winter Moon
Oh cold winter moon
And the wind that blows
Bring me a change
For my weary soul
Take away this longing
That fills my heart
Something is over…

This was one of the most hilarious songwriting sessions we've had in a long time.... One for all the single people still searching for the elusive LTR out there - a classic with Greg Connor - guitar, Mark Lofgren - guitar and lead vocals, yours…
The MN coffee table is back!!!! We have a new member too - Joel Schaubert, who joined Mark Lofgren and Greg Connor - veterans of the coffee table. Once again we wrote this song and recorded it in my backyard coffee table (hence some of the wind…
Saying Sorry ....What a drag!
Saying Sorry

I don’t pretend to be
I’ve always wanted to go through this life hoping just float free
But then today it all went wrong
Everybody seems to hate me

The final Song for my 2023 RPM challenge!! Dusted off my acoustic guitar (and blistered my fingers) to get this one done. Phew! I love Latin rhythms and so I found a beat and jammed it up. Thanks again to anyone who listens -it's really fun…
Song 9# for my RPM 2022. I don't know how it happened, but I ended up with a bit of an alternative quasi-delta blues here. I walk a lot of country roads at night so..... The harmonies were fun. Thanks to anyone who listens! Onward…
Song 8# of my RPM Album. I love Persian scales and so I wanted to play with that a bit here. I managed to do my own finger snapping through the whole tune and didn't use a loop - I'm known for my rather loud snapping ability.

Song 7 for my RPM challenge. Thanks to anyone who listens :)

Track 1 of this years Rpm challenge 2023 covering the concept of age and the effect on poor old Reg...
My heart beat feels like a strangers
It drums to a different kinda beat
The image in this head of mine hangs in defeat
It don’t feel…
Here we go..Song 4 for my RPM challenge. This one was a blast to do because of its simplicity. It's a bit dark but with a hint of humour. I never thought I would need to return to nuclear allusions in a song - it isn't 1985...oh well.

Song #2 for this year's RPM album....another one from the basement in the middle of the night. Experimenting with minimal lyrics and a lot of repetition. The song probably has something to do with how we left our home of many years last February…
Thought I'd share something from my looper pedal. One fun aspect of having a multi-effects pedal & a looper on the pedalboard is the ability to quickly create a couple of simple loops & replicate them across several memory slots, then…

Where are you Bethan? Let's hear a little of your great voice.
Let us hope that love don't end. Ha ha!
Still and all time favorite of mine. Came by for a listen and a smile.
OMG! I just found this.... These lyrics are hilarious. You guys are the bomb :-)
Beautiful song.
...has a familiar feel - which is often a sign of a well written song. Nicely done.
Nicely done!
Dig this
Stunningly heartfelt.

Pretty cool. This might make a nice backing track for a video.
I stopped by for another listen! Magnificent!
Oh Man … that is beautiful. What a masterpiece! I love the Irish influence and the powerful lyrics. O U T S T A N D I N G
I'm laughing all over again! This was fun.
That was a lot of fun! I’m tickled with the outcome. I think the song and everyone’s contribution resulted in a great collaboration.
Haunting and reflective.
I love it . . . but I don't remember doing this at all. Maybe we "raised our glass to the future" a few too many times.
Ahhhh . . . Something I can relate to. This is so close to home that you got me laughing out loud.
Beautiful 10th RPM song. The completion of an album you can be proud of. I love the touch of harmony in the chorus and the transition in the bridge.
I'm just strolling down memory lane (RPM 2022) this morning. This is a great song.
That’s a pretty cool sound
Very unique and almost mesmerizing. That's a lot of finger snapping.
Great harmony thanks to "The Good Wife". Sounds like you're having a GREAT time!
Great positive message and a beat that bounces along.
Great song! Congratulations on accomplishing RPM 2023.
I like this. It reminds me of a river with tributaries spilling into it.
This is one my favorites!
Excellent song, great message and instrumentation. Let’s play this “live” sometime.
Ah . . . It's RPM time again. It's great to hear some new music from you!
I think I hear that Gretcsh getting a workout. Sounds like you're having a great time!
