STAINED GLASS…
just WOW!!!! This is one of my favorites you've done. Such a beautiful picture you paint. Love the instrumentation, and killer Irish Whistle. This one sets the bar high!!!!
I'm doing just Fine with Buck Erpestad. Check out Bucks music here:

Here is what Buck said he added:
"So I used the tremolophone (vibes) and tuba sounds in Garageband and played them on the keyboard."
Steve Krell (SLKrell) and I have been feuding over the same girlfriend for a while now. In fact, there are several songs about her on Alonetone. Here is the latest in the story:

Inspired by Last Week's Winter Storm where the only people out driving around in it were the people trying to prove Darwin's theory of Natural Selection.
Vocal addition by Colleen Dillon. Colleen also suggested the topic *"Winter Tune…
I've been teasing Steve (SLKrell) about Rose, from Las Cruces Nevada, ever since he wrote a song about her for Valentines Day a few years ago.
Rosie is a figment of our imagination. I wrote a song about stealing her away from Steve:

Highway signs go by all night
Open window to catch the breeze
Helps me clear my cluttered mind
Road noise rumbling through the floor

My mind is racing up ahead

Magic!!!, I' am not sure why but I am getting an image of the scene where they are travelling in their little VW van in Field Of Dreams, it just conjures up that image, would fit well in the film I think, nice simple song, nothing too brash or too loud, I'll keep an eye out for more :)
I had fun singing this at the open mic this past week.
Originally written for a song writing challenge using the phrase *"Chicken Plucking Time In Petaluma"*
Just danced around the kitchen to this one with my little grandson Rory. He loved it! And then he fell off to a happy sleep. Thanks Greg!!! We needed the perfect song and this was it tonight!

One of my personal favorite recordings from the 52 song MYTHOPOETICA demo collection, even though there’s a sound quality issue (the bass had a bit of a buzz). This was my first time using a wammy bar – I liked it!
PLASTIC GIRL
You can’t…
It's great to catch up with you Vern! I hope you are doing well.
I can't remember .10cent popcorn, but I remember .25cent gas.
I also remember watching the movie twice before we left the theater.
Steve (SLKrell) and I have been competing over the same *"IMAGINARY"* girlfriend for years now.
And Yep . . . Steve started it. Well she's mine now, at least until Steve writes the next song. Look for Steve's music here:

Here is a new mix, compliments of Gene Eric Mann.
Gene didn't say this, but I'd like to think that he wanted to make sure that Steve heard every word clearly.
Thanks Gene!
ADOBE & BLOOD
Thanks to David Kneller
for bringing up the subject
and creating that phrase:
ADOBE & BLOOD
I read a lotta stories about a lotta stuff
But I tell ya folks, I'll never read enough
To block out the memories what…
Man . . . I like this.
Beautiful. You have captured the bitter sweet volitily in the January 2015 market for sure. I'll bet your 2014 piece had all major chords in it.
Update: Gene offered to improve the Mix on this song! This is that improved version. Thanks so much Gene! You are awesome!!!
I wrote this song earlier this summer, and had played it a few times with Greg Connor, fellow alone toner, and…
*Another example where the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts*
I think this live version is better than anything we could have ever cooked up in my basement no matter how much wine we drank.
Thanks to Gene's help, this remix has a lot more definition.
Bottom line, it's better when everyone comes together to contribute.
Of out tonight for a drink with a few friends but not til 9 so i thought i'd try to write a song and i think i have . i think i'll revisit it later to re-do but for now it will have to do. Hope you enjoy!! A heart-breaker for a Friday night…

Outstanding . . .
I can hear Melissa and the rest of us harmonizing. Colin's bass is keeping us together and Scott's mandolin just brings it over the top.
Great song and lots of fun!

Happy Sunday Alonetoner's.
I wrote this song yesterday as I had some recent events to ponder.... I hope you like it. Trying for a bit of a bluesy feel. If you'd like to download it and add some background blues bass or guitar, or harmonies…

I start smiling every time your voice pans to the other speaker. That's fun!
Nice song. Andrew has the stuff. I think he's right on, although it may not stop Colin and I adding a little something.
Think of it as putting plastic Pink Flamingos in the yard. It may not add much, but you just feel good about it.

Love how mellow but driven this is. The harmonica is great as mentioned!
Loving the laid back, groove!
The harmonica is one of the most professional things that I've heard on Alonetone. Very VERY nice!
Boy you really have a nice story here. Great instrumentation and mix! Great harp BG. Gotta get one of those.
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really love this. That harp is killer good, and the rest is so great. Love the rattler. Great lyrics. You are a writing machine!
