Just like two sides
Of the same silver dollar
We’re not alike but still the same
And your big life
Makes mine look smaller
I wonder if you know my name
I wait around
You might be calling
A telephone that never rings
End of the day…
Just like two sides
Of the same silver dollar
We’re not alike but still the same
And your big life
Makes mine look smaller
I wonder if you know my name
I wait around
You might be calling
A telephone that never rings
End of the day…

Boy I really like these lyrics. Makes me wonder who was in your mind's eye as you wrote this. Sausage customer, or music producer, or maybe someone else entirely. I am always so amazed at your songs! Love this!
Two hours before morning light
Highway signs go by all night
Open window to catch the breeze
Helps me clear my cluttered mind
Road noise rumbling through the floor
Been on this road once or twice before
My mind is racing up ahead
Leaving…

Highway signs go by all night
Open window to catch the breeze

Really like the chord progression....and of course vocals are outstanding...great lyrics...this song really speaks to me...oh and as a side note...your "Taking Home The Pretty One" will be on Dirty Thumps CD that should be released very soon...your name is on the sleeve as writer...It has been copyrighted in Poland and I assume the rest of the world.. so check your mailbox for royalties:-) as soon as I get some CD's I will send you one....of course it is a little different than the original!!! as the producer/engineer says it is like Hendrix interpreting Dylan....lol

Lyrics:
Mini Van
I’m driving my Mini Van around
I’m driving it everywhere in town
I’m driving my Mini Van
Try to catch me if you can
I’m driving my Mini Van around
Seems Like I can always catch the eye…
LYRICS:
With Or Without You
Try to get along but it takes two
It’s a Whole lot of me and not much you
Working myself right to the bone
Thinking that I am all alone
Just like a monkey up in the tree
Throwing your feces straight…
This is the original version of WILD BILL
that I submitted to Production back in '95
when I was working on the film. It got set aside
when the music was forwarded from Ry Cooter to Van Dyke Parks.
One day I came in from work and Peggy…
Years ago, in Winter, a friend of mine sent me pictures from Moscow, where she lives. And that inspired me to write this "soundtrack".
The vocal theme is "sung" by Vocaloid, a software singer. Unfortunately I don't have a singer of that calibre…
This is the new version of one of the tracks from my new project… rerecordings of some of my early solo recordings. This is definitely the most significantly altered arrangement in the project so far. I was almost ready to scrap it entirely until…
The first of three tracks in this year's "Winter Sketches" EP. As preparation for my concept for this year's RPM Challenge, ALL SOUNDS were produced on an iPhone. The apps used for this song include Argon, Funkbox, Beatmaker, Filtatron and NESynth.
In memory of my Friend who was bigger than life, and an ego the size of Lake Superior.
Lyrics:
High stepping, loud talking
Crazy S.O.B.
A self proclaimed ladies man
That know one else could see
I wish I would have had the chance

Just a few stories recieved on email regarding our friend:
Eric always tells the store about when Jim was trying to get into his
little Buick Skylark to go to lunch. Of course because Jim was so big he
had to hold on the top of the car and lower himself in. Well Eric decides
to wash his windshield and shoots washer fluid all over Jim while he's
stuck trying to get in the car. Eric had to pay to dry clean his suit.

I've been thinking lately of all the stories about him. Like when I would take him out to lunch. He'd order some big thing like the broiled trout, toss salad with oil and vinegar and more.
Then the waitress would look at me. I would say "I'll have what Dad's having".
He would erupt claiming "I'm not your father you Bastard!"
Good Times ... Good Times! I still giggle when I think about some of his antics.

I remember when he bought his first BMW. I asked him what kind of millage he got. He said "Who gives a shit"

I was in his office trying to present some promotion. He dropped his head on the desk when I mentioned the price, and it scared the hell out of me.
I thought he had a heart attack, and I was going to have to give him mouth to mouth
Song #2 for the RPMC. My goal is to have 12 short tunes (1-3 minutes long), so I need to pick up the pace.
Again, quartal tuning on the top 3 unison pairs of the 12 string. I've been listening to Ralph Towner's Blue Sun, hence the title.
This song was inspired by a long walk....
Lyrics:
Down by the river, down by the shore we go
The moon above cast a beautiful glow
We walked around talking through the night
I can’t help but think how it felt right
Hey Constance, don’t you feel…
My kids told me to buck up, all my songs to date were dreary, kids eh! This is the acoustic version of this song. When you're bored with this, I'll upload the upbeat one
I was listening to Jesmiaus earlier Trick of your love (RPM2012) and it gave me an idea for my first RPM this year...so thanks Will...... hope you all enjoy this....i did doing it...they say smoking weed can make you schitzophrenic but i’m not…
Kinda rough. I'm uploading this mainly to share a guitar technique I've been working on. I'm wearing a slide on my picking hand and using it to alter pitches in single line phrases. There's a lot more can be done with this technique that I've…
got a new ukelele still trying to tame it.
recorded 3 tracks of uke and one of vox on micro br using onboard mic, still trying to tame the onboard mic.
i shouldn't happen in a month of sundays
but i can see it coming straight towards me

Good kitchen music!
Great story telling! Be careful . . . You might bring up the spirit of Townes VanZant too! There is nothing better than a wistful song.
Oh my gosh! That's pretty.
Hey Roger, do you mind if I use Steve's line too?
Very pretty Roger! Sounds like snuggling music ... you old softy!
Beautiful . . . And rich sounding.

Boy Terry, I left two comments so far and neither has shown up. Let's hope this one does. You fit these blues songs! It's like calling from home!
"Hey Constance" What a beautiful heartfelt song!
I love the sound of a wooden acoustic guitar. You have captured a lot of emotion here Roger.
