One of my other hobbies is watching wildlife in the area. I'm the happiest with a pair of binoculars around my neck and my hiking boots laced up.
Rita and I took these photos over the last few days, near our home.

Gorgeous birds ! Great pictures and video. You added a very nice music melody for the film. I got a kick out of the notification for you post. The site said you had posted something and it was "so hot" they didn't know the details yet. :=) c

As an old forester, wildlife man...I'd venture a guess this is a pretty young "flyer." Great sscenes, notice old insulator on wire near shed...and the banjo music is wonderful...just wonderful...best to the two of you...v.g.

One of my better Psych Folk recordings. Intro voice and keyboards by Starry Nightmoth. BG rhythm/drums generated using a Yamaha E313 KB. Lyrics, music and all other instruments and vocals are my fault.

Here's a clip from a new folk single I just released. You can hear the whole song in the video below, or on the song page on my website.
This features 2 instruments people love to hate: banjo and accordion (in this case, melodeon). But both…

This is one of my favorite collaborations with Paul Lennon so far. I wrote the song with king of a bluesy feel, and then found a perfect marriage for the music with one of Paul's awesome tracks. Then we tinkered on it together to make it so…
Here's a new one. Well, a new old one, actually... And a bit different than the last one!
Something old, something new, something borrowed, and, er, something blue...

Song inspired by listening to Nick Cave and reading all the bad news in the newspapers. Enjoy.

Time is now to intoxicate the soul
Up high, private jets…
A Facebook Friend posted a picture of a

PRETTY GIRL
Pretty girl, pretty dress
Well, I must confess my heart is in a mess
Pretty girl
Some guys can walk up to a girl
Say, "Hey! I love you
They make it look like something
So easy to do
Pretty girl, pretty dress

These tunes have been in the pipeline for almost 8 months now.
I think I'm done with them :)

Am I fool to love you
Am I fool to love you
I'd drive 300 miles just to see your smile

The inspiration for this year's album. I wanted to make a track that would make both Neil Degrasse Tyson and Pete Seeger happy...
...I hope you ruminate on the size of the universe - and just what that means - while hearing the girls play.
Yes, it makes you think. I really like the "Landry girls". Sounds like a clarinet and a flute, but I might be wrong. Whatever it is, it's fun to hear the next generation.
I had a wish to sing along with Greg, so he offered me a piece of his Cherry Pie to sing along with... I added a few other bits here and there as well. Thanks Greg!!! This was a fun one for me... added some piano and a teeny bit of percussion....
Steve (SLKrell) and I have been competing over the same *"IMAGINARY"* girlfriend for years now.
And Yep . . . Steve started it. Well she's mine now, at least until Steve writes the next song. Look for Steve's music here:

Cool! Was this at Cleary Lake or Murphy-Hanrehan? And aren't snow owls nocturnal? The banjo playing is OK, too.
Snowy nostalgia for my am coffee time on alonetone The owlet is dressed for Minnisota

This might be one of my favorite *Gene Eric Man* songs.
Beautiful song! I love the video. I got a kick out of your comment regarding banjo and accordion.
This was the first of Gene's (Ricky) songs I remember listening to. That was back on *EZFolk.com*

I stopped by for seconds!
Simply Stellar Andrew! You hit the mark again!
I like this It has a gritty "loose ends" kind of feel to it , like life is not always perfect.
I just really like your style. This song is so inviting, it's like an old friend.
I had to play this one again. Beautiful!
Interesting technique on the guitar. Very creative!
I really enjoyed this. That piano sounds great!
Interesting bridge. I didn't expect that. You know how to keep the listener's attention.
Yes, this is it.
Interesting idea.
I stopped for another listen. Good stuff.
Nothing better than a good lighthouse song.
