Here’s my contribution to the “Who Knew” songwriting challenge. Also my first 12 bar blues song which was a challenge I added for myself, so hope you like it!

Who Knew
© 2015 Colleen Dillon

Verse 1:
You’re soft in your heart
But rough on the outside
You’re always quick to laugh
You bring to me a smile
You’re the best thing to many
And your heart for me is true

Chorus:

Who knew
Who knew
Who knew

Verse 2:
You’re kind and caring
And kind of funny too
You’re the spice in my coffee
You’re the bubble in my brew
You’re just a special person
And a friend to me that’s true

Verse 3:
I guess I love you baby
I know that much is true
I can’t understand it
You’ve blown away my blues
You reach me in places
Your heart’s the one I choose

It's great hearing the different approaches to this. Love the soft vibrato in your voice at the ends of lines.
