If Ennio Morricone and Dr. Dre smoked a buttload of crack and decided to collaborate, except that one of them thought he was writing a soundtrack for the Godfather Part 11, and the other for Phantom of the Opera, Part 2, The Unwanted Sequel…
The Phantom must of burnt his face of with the crack pipe hence the mask, i always wondered about that story he told everyone ...or was it burned by the men in sunglasses for not paying up for his rock......mmmm we ponder.....great music to ponder too.....

Woo, this has something going for it. I'm listening in headphones, so the initial fizzy synth tones were a bit scary!
I love the rhythm and the interweaving melodies. Really, really inventive stuff. On the second listen I almost felt like it was too short - so I had to listen one more time!
A cover of the Cure's minimalist alt-rock classic, an old favorite of mine.

I'm ashamed to say I don't know much about The Cure - I was a blues-rocker by the time they emerged, I liked some of the singles and videos, but that was about it...
I really like what you've got going on here, though.
Did the world really need a cheesy, spaghetti western version of this classic Eagles song? I'm not sure. Did I make one anyway? Yes. Yes, I did. By the way the painting is "Villa Diablo" by Downe Burns.

Brilliant!
We definitely needed this version.
I suspect that even Ian Anderson would like this take on the chords he "lent" them Eagles chappies... lol
Faved, no problem :-)

This something I put together pretty quickly. But it reminds a little of the stuff they play in between news stories on NPR's radio show, "All Things Considered." Dear Robert Siegel, please play my song on the radio :)

Taking a breather from a few other projects and fired up some drum loops. 3 hip hop beats at 80 bpm. Funny how they just line up like that.
I added some 70's disco synth and some spooky sounds and Bingo.......spooky hip hop.
Go figure.....
really nice album/playlist. wonderful contemplative stuff... usually relaxing, sometimes sad, always interesting... some really nice, peculiar harmonies in some of the tracks... enjoyed it a lot! :)
Reg's little homage to Elizabeth Taylor who passed away today, the piano is a little dodgy and the lyrics and the singing in parts as i'm following my dodgy playing, it will have to be revisited but i thought i'd share anyway as i would forget…
Cover of the Joy Division classic, with a little drum'n'bass thrown into the mix
This version from September 2010
The youtube version is my original recording going back to 1997.
Every thought
words/music: Geir

it says it has heard it all
it holds the secrets of the home

cool song - well done!! if jim morrison and rufus wainwright and jim morrison spliced their DNA, their spawn would probably sing a song something like this :)
not really a ghost in my house it just badly needs rewiring.
There’s a ghost in my house
That we can’t see
Moving things around
When we’re not here
Playing little tricks
On my memory
Playing little games
With my mind
There…
nice song here. in the future, you might want to rethink the filming locations for your videos, though ;)
i enjoyed your whole album, you have a very nice voice.
bloody kids eh?
my oldest asked if i would remove the dirty animal video from youtube because "it's embarrassing dad"!
i asked my girls to sing the chorus but they where too embarrassed lol.

this is one for the over fifties
we strolled along
lost avenues
with no regrets
and nonchalance
who's kidding who
so confident
so bold and full
of bravado
when we were young
we knew it all
with certainty
you couldn't tell
cos we couldn't hear…

the drum sounds are just basic samples included with FL Studio. i normally never use them, but in this case they actually sound a lot like the drums in the original track. at least to me :)

Reg was talking to Elvis about Frank and he told him something he didn't know.you can have it all then at the end not remember it which is what happened to Frank the grind ground him down a sad ending for a great man......Dementia is a cruel end…
