Featuring my good friend Mr. Steven Phillips on electric guitar and backing vocals. Regardless, nobody seems to like this song but me.
BTW, This song is not intended as an insult of anyone. Don't send goon squads after me, please!
I still love the old version of Ugo Rez, and think of a reason to use it every year.

I love to wake on a monday
puttin my clothes on
Startin my day
I love to drive on the highway
smiling people…
I set up my antique Roland TR-707 Beatbox, a vocal mic, an amp, and tried to play this “live”. It came out pretty bad, and I thought I’d have to toss it. But after a couple day’s retrospection, I decided to save the rhythm guitar and drum tracks…
Written and recorded not long after the death of my favorite person ever, Jerry Garcia.
Originally Recorded on a Fostex 4-track cassette and remastered.
A song about the boardgame: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/2842/transamerica
Lyrics:
I take a card of every color
Each bears the name of a city
You say my goal is to connect them
It's an impossibility
It just might take me several minutes…
A song about the upcoming End of the World.
They tell me that the world is almost ended
the calender runs out and there's nothing more to say
The sun will flicker out and leave us all to die
So many things will be left undone
You and I will…
Hey Dave, I haven't seen (heard!) any new music from you in a while, but if you've heard anything awesome around here in the last year, please add it to the thread:

A song I wrote when I was about 19 years old. I never thought it was good enough to record. Maybe I was wrong!
I float around in a pool of slime
I can't be seen with the naked ey
You know it's gonna be lotsa fun
To munch out on a bacterium…
This was the song I had to pull out of my wazoo on Monday night to finish the challenge. I didn't try anything fancy, since I had not time for re-takes, but I think it came out OK. It could really use a country slide-guitar or something, though…
This song IS autobiographical.
I been thinkin about what they call the best-case scenario
And it's 20 more years of this shit, don't you know
dealing with stuff I don't give a damn about
in return for a certain pecuniary amount
ref:
can't…
Another song I once recorded badly on a 4-track. This one is not so much changed from the original, just a better performance (I hope!) and recording.
Well I'm rusting away and I'm soon gonna die
'cause my body is slowly being oxidized
and I…
Another of the "Recipe Songs". Maybe not as successful as the first, but much better than the others, which I have omitted.
Originally Recorded on a Fostex 4-track cassette and remastered.
Believe it or not, I was sitting in a hotel room reading Tolkien when I came up with this. Actually, the amazing thing is that I actually remembered enough of it when I got home a week later. Needless to say, this took a lot of time to record…
I like the little time-signature shifts and genre channel-surfing you do here. It's easy to tell that you really enjoyed making this - it shows in the results.
I was thinking about what I hadn't done so far - no instrumental, no synth, no vibraslap, no cowbell - so I just tossed all that stuff together. The title is in memorial of my brother's recent appendicitis.
Edit: I admit that I did a remix…
I had an incredibly hard time putting this together, and then at the end it fell together better than I could have ever hoped. I guess I should scream my head off more often.

It's summer time, I'm at a cottage, I've been listening to a lot of weird electronic music and thinking about the world burning up. I'm playing around with layering vocals - something I love. Thanks to anyone who listens even for a few seconds…
Going through my collection over the years...thinking I'll post some of those old tunes (pretty rough and ready....one take, recorded on garage band I believe). Why not...life is short! Thanks to anyone who listens :)
The final Song for my 2023 RPM challenge!! Dusted off my acoustic guitar (and blistered my fingers) to get this one done. Phew! I love Latin rhythms and so I found a beat and jammed it up. Thanks again to anyone who listens -it's really fun…
A perfect ending to the album. Harmonies so nice. I used some Maracas, Guiro, and Clave this year and I wish I could feel a Latin beat like this.
I wanted to thank you for you support, you helped me so much the last couple of years. Even if I never make anything else, I will still follow.
Song 8# of my RPM Album. I love Persian scales and so I wanted to play with that a bit here. I managed to do my own finger snapping through the whole tune and didn't use a loop - I'm known for my rather loud snapping ability.
In another…
6th song for my RPM album. If you like slow and depressing music...this is for you! I had a blast using my new crash cymbal and brushes...my fingers are not very pleased about playing the bass riff however (ouch).
somehow you knew me

Okay, RPM Song 3 finished. It's a weird song melodically speaking (yup, that's actually intentional lol). Oddly, it took an extremely long time to produce this one and my eyes are now very blurry. I guess this is an "urban" song (though I…
Well...This is song #10 for my 2022 RPM challenge- the final track for my "album". It's a bit like two songs that found each other somehow. That makes for a very long track! eek. Thank you to everyone who has been listening to my songs...it…
Beautiful. It's interesting that you can look at the visualizer and SEE where they first find each other. Your album is really the highlight of this year's RPM for me.
Some days I'm the preacher with my head up in a cloud
Some days I'm a gentleman who does my mama proud
But some days I'm the creature who just arrived from Mars
And some days I'm the futurist who drives electric cars
Some days I'm the…
Song 5 for the RPM Challenge. Building tunes around an incessant bass line is oddly appealing to me. This is a bit of a dystopian song of sorts. Thanks to anyone who listens!
Take me to the river
and hold me under water
Bow down beside…
Pick it up first thing in the morning
Looking down when the day is dawning
Takin it along from room to room
Bright icons on a tiny screen
Means more to you than me
I’m hoping you notice pretty soon
It’s clear, and I fear
It’s understandable…
1) Be a complementary force to the alignment that they call the change of leadership.
2) Use attraction, alignment and avoidance and extended this with a number of traits.
RPM 2015 Feb. 18 update: I cut a new vocal for this one which is an improvement, but this mix is still not right. Dunno if I'll have time to fix it before the deadline... (This is the full length track as opposed to the truncated version with…

They Don't Let Go

They don't let go
no they don't let go
you think you'll walk away
They don't let go
no they don't let go
no matter what you pay
Don't no they don't
no they never let go…
Ken asked me to add a few words to his excellent track Thats what life is for as he was stumped so ive tried my best hope you like it ken....
Thats what life is for
the singer spoke to me through the speakers of the stereo

Always love the idea of vocals used as part of the rhythm. An age-old method used perfectly here.

Got me belly-dancing. Thankfully nobody was around to see that.
Awesome. I love playing bass but I don't do it often enough to develop real calluses, so I can relate. Outstanding recording.
Incredibly creative, the break is a real smash.
This is better than most of the stuff I've made while listening

Great chorus. Is this performed "live"?
Some space, some funk, exactly right.
The whole thing is great, I hope you can make a career out of this
Did a quick fix, it was mastered way too low.
So flabbergasting that my gasts are all flabbered out!
Too awesome. Stop it!
Grooovy!
Creeeepy!
If I forgot to click "favorite" for any of these songs, forgive me, it was a mistake.
T-pain!!
Thanks for making us all seem lame again.
