Something a little more serious this time. With everything that's going on in the world today, I sometimes need to know that someone is there for me.

Guess where I dreamed up something like this? When the choir members started walking up the aisle in a cadence of the Monastic Walk (3 steps forward followed by one step back, followed by a brief pause), the backbeat appeared in my mind. I worked…
Keith Landry used his considerable vocal talents on this song, and he made a decent song sound great. I added one or two harmonies, but the lead vocals are his. I think he did a great job. What do you think?

Sam did a great job on this song. Both the lead and backing vocals are hers. The song could use a little editing, but I thought you'd all like to hear it anyway.
Enjoy.

This was written during a time when I was away from home a great deal. My better half called me, and the gist of the conversation became the lyrics of this song.

This is my most angry song.
Sodom And Gamorrah

How many times have we seen it?
Headline the evening news.
How many faces have been featured
While the tabloids expose the ruse?
How many sweet young things
Have tried…

Gather 'round the bonfire for some sh*t-kicking New England bluegrass, boys and girls! Feel free to sing along!

Summer's so damn short you don't dare to waste it
I've seen the Northern…
Well, this may be the final tweaking of this nice little sing along song...
I sent this fun little sing along off to Jim of MTC fame, and once again he has outdone himself... And I can't thank him and his wife (who appears covertly) enough…
So I'm back at Caffe Lena on Thursday night gearing up for my two songs and a band called "Driftwood" takes the stage (banjo, acoustic guitar, fiddle) and blows everyone away.
Kinda gets me thinking...
And writing...
"Driftwood"
Coming down…
Composed in the dead of a particularly snowy winter, this track and its companion (the double-speed, tritone-shifted "On Thin Ice") capture the essence of cabin fever.
Been listening to your music, and I must say I have liked what I've heard. I'm not usually one to listen to electronica, but your particular brand is the right mix of rhythm and moodiness that I find interesting.
Well done.

09 Mistress Calamity and Mister Kaleidoscope
Kisses with mistress Calamity
Lips taste like sips of tea
Pour me .. she makes me sweet internally
Wide eyed it’s Mister Kaleidoscope
Broken very-merry go ‘round
Poorly he makes me feel…
Been listening to the songs, and I must say I am envious of how you get the vocals and harmonies to come out. I love how you do that. And, for the record, waiting for the final mastered version of the album was worth it. Very nice indeed.

02 Perfect
See that girl over there brush her hair beside her bedroom mirror
For all the world she doesn’t show of know the glow within her
She shines inside
She powders down
And lines her eyes
It isn’t worth it, she’s nearly perfect…
I've been listening to all the songs, and I like what I've heard. This one is difficult to hear because of the nature of live recording, but this and the other songs are enjoyable to listen to.

Listened to all of your tunes, and I must say I liked what I heard. This last one is certainly interesting in how you used the synths and the guitar. I liked Almost There very much, and your Government Song made me grin. Dang the gov't anywho.
Look forward to more.

Lyrics:
I’ll stand above this cliff
And offer up my soul
Would there be an end to pain
To jump in to this hole
Could this be goodbye
If there’s a light below me
Will it set me free
Could I fly today
Is this my only option
Close…
I listened to several of your songs, and I liked this one the most. The lyrics and vocals and the almost haunted feel of the song were most appealing. Well done.

Listened to the entire album and I can honestly say that the more I heard the more I liked. You have a unique style.
Other than the overpowering first song, I found myself singing along with just about every other one.
Well done.

This song started as the riff on my Strat while fooling around with some FX. I knew it needed to be a big dance number, and then realized there is a great story about the power of music and dance, which I hid in the lyrics. See if you can figure…
This one started as a the title line while driving in my car. All I had was the line and it's melody. I built the song around that about 6 months later. The lyrics are self explanatory.

Got bumps on my body
One under my eye
Been there since birth
I don't know why
Have one on my leg and one on my back
I guess it's better than having a heart attack
Someone said "Know thyself" he was pretty wise
I thought I knew me pretty…
When the girl in the room is just too cute for me to concentrate on whatever it was I was trying to do.

How am I supposed to get anything done
With you looking like that
I'm so far gone
I'm forgetting where I'm at

Keith - I've been listening to your songs and I want to say I have liked every one of them. I'll keep listening, but family is interrupting me at the moment. I'll be back.

Very nice, Kavin. Very jazzy indeed. ER
Very nice. I have trouble properly pronouncing the state, so I would have just said "to Mass". LOL Good song. ER
Great melody and sing-a-long tune. Loved it. ER
It's funny how periods of introspection and/or great pain can inspire great music. Happens to me all the time. This is excellent, Keith. Well done. ER

Tappin' my feets to this, Gary. The riff sounds familiar, but I can't place it. Good song. ER
Excellent introspective song. Well done. ER
According to the Men in Black, Elvis is not dead. He just went home. Brit did a nice job. ER
Ohmygod! And you made a song about it! EEEEEEK. ER
This describes my writing process perfectly. ER
Your lyrics are very good in this. The imagery is excellent. In my mind I can see what you saw. Well done. ER
