Sweepingly romantic. I probably wouldn't pan the instruments so far apart, it sounded a little "spread out" in headphones. But the lyric tune and the nice orchestration were very sweet. I see a father smiling. :-)
How wonderful to play the piano like you do Lalo, I particularly like the very melodic pieces probably because I don't really know much about classical music. But I can tell you are very, very good. Cheers Bethan
Originally written for RPM 2008, I've finally got around to making it sound a bit better; to my ears anyway.
A return to my normal subject matter of criminal activity and even more criminal lyrics.
Li Bao's lament, ‘Fighting South of the Ramparts,’ was probably written in 751, a year of significant military defeats for the Tang Dynasty, which was approaching both its cultural and political peak and soon to face the rebellion of An Lushan…
Just one of those passing moods. Just finished today - august 2 2009. I resisted the temptation to try to develop it any further and just let it be what it is
I hesitate to upload this, but there are a couple folks around who like this sort of thing. This is an edited down version of a jam I had with myself back at the end of 2007. Live to 2 tracks with the aid of the Jamman. I think it was the first…
This is my first recording and not great quality. I have ordered a better quality microphone, just waiting for it to arrive. Quality aside, I was hoping for some constructive critcism/comments on my version of this song.
New stuff has been slow in coming for me lately, but I found this lurking on my hard drive from a while back. Frankly don't remember how I did it except that it was all live to 2 tracks and at one point one of my synth patches glitched out on…
What happened after too much time on youtube watching live vids of "voodoo chile" Noisy obnoxious and very cathartic for me! Live to 2tracks with the Jamman
A moody solo acoustic thing that I came up with playing in a long forgotten tuning. Just got a new Zoom H4N, so this was recorded in my shop sitting at my reedmaking bench may 12 2009
Something completely different- Uilleann pipes(Irish bagpipes) and synth. I wrote this tune over 20 years ago in the style of traditional Irish slow airs. It was recorded way back in 1991 for an album that's been out of print for over 15 years…

Mostly electric guitar and violin bow. The end is accompanied by my blubbing and a haunting sound recorded by Sudara (an ebow against what I think is a piano string... he'll have…
Close your eyes, and come with me. It is a warm Autumn eve in the Black Forest. There are ancient folk tales about this magical wood... how late at night it comes to life with mischievious fairies and wood nymphs. Any mortal who hears the unusual…
about your comment to my romance for orchestra: yes, I agree... how much I need a real orchestra!!! I really thank you, you know? I was thinking on doing that piece over again :) thanks again

One of your most beautiful!!
I think this is your lovliest piece Lalo, such a pretty melody and so tenderly played.
Truly beautiful! (Bethan has melted. In my kitchen.)
Lovely melody, this is love story stuff.
Excellent... a longing lament that brings out the rich quality of the cello nicely.
I enjoyed this, but could have enjoyed a few more doubled notes for harmony here and there (like the last chord at the end.) These are all very nice.
This movement has a little mischief in it.
This definitely creates a mood of melancoly. Excellent cello recording, good use of dynamics for the expressiveness of the music.
Very sweet waltz, slow and warm... and slightly quirky, with a little smile. I like it. I hope your daughter does too.
