I agree with SS on this one...I still have to get around to listening to all your music. You have so many tracks, I'm going to d/l them sometimes today or tomorrow to listen to em. Will save on bandwidth for the site.. hehe. awesome song.

Thanks for all the comments! It's very nice to have such a kind audience of fellow musicians-- I appreciate the support and it's nice to have a little virtual home for my music to live freely, especially now that I moved far away from everyone I know in the analog world :-)

MMi wrote the song. I programmed percussion, recorded tabla and vocals.

Written, recorded, and mixed in 24 hours. August 01-02, 2009, from 6am to 6am.
Instrumentation: Two acoustic guitars, electric guitar (picked and bowed), fretless bass, about 7 different flutes, two tabla drums, rattles, tambourine, didgeridoo…
Thank you to all who took the time to listen and comment. I'll soon post newer versions of each track (separately). I hope it was an enjoyable twenty-four minutes. cheers.
Okay I need to say a few things. Please read before listening!
I did not do the 24 hour challenge but I did try and hang around in the chatroom as much as possible with Glu, SisterS, and ChrisM while they battled through it.
At about midnight…
Just one of those passing moods. Just finished today - august 2 2009. I resisted the temptation to try to develop it any further and just let it be what it is

One of four tracks I did for the August 2009 24 hour challenge. This was the last track I did, and it shows.
I was pretty tired after finishing 3am chill, and had to mess round for ages mangling loops and trying out different things before…
the tempo changes are totally melting my sleep-deprived brain..seriously.. !!! It's making me fall asleep... aptly named tune there!! You captured it perfectly. congrats again.. great job!
One of four tracks I did for the August 2009 24 hour challenge. This was the first track I did, when I was still fresh.
I'd wanted to play around with Guitar Rig 3 since getting it at the weekend. The guitars are ableton loops mangled with guitar…

This is quite an old track that got abandoned because I didn't feel it was right or going anywhere.
But listening to it in iTunes this morning I thought it passed muster. I don't think it has enough variation to justify it's length but it's gently…
Honestly I have no idea where this came from or how.
I was messing with Omnisphere patches and came across a lovely, flutey, breathy sound that put me in mind of the scenes inside the monolith at the end of 2001. I setup a Rytme pattern to…
oh June Bug! forgot about this one, Kirk. You're digging back 4-5 years! That flanger sound is a didgeridoo btw, pitch. The lead 'synth' part is a really short (looped) sample of a mandolin, filtered, and chromatically mapped out for playing. I forget all the other sounds. Thanks for listening to the old classics! :-)
I composed the music of this song specially for one of the soloists of my "Bulgarian Sample Voices" project, which will available soon as Apple Loops, EXS24, Kontakt etc...Here I use my new tool "RMX POWER CONTROL " More info will be published…
I'm almost totally happy with this song except it is for the mix. I would appreciate any comments on how to improve it. Is too bassy and the mix has a big blip in the beginning where it gets louder for a second. I know I can fix some of that with…
nice song, love the lyrics. Because you are asking for advice, I recommend bringing out the percussion to compliment that rich bass. I also think a little percussive variation would help the track move more fluidly. Looking forward to the final mix. Cheers!
Comments on glu's stuff
Wonderful, gives me bubble skin.

gotta tell me about your drum production tricks some time. love the sound of the chorus, the bass and the breakdown. sweet.

Happy 300! Excellent as always.
Love the vocal! w;-)
