somewhere around 3 minutes you should here the sound of people chopping down a tree in the Peruvian Amazon turn into the beat of the song. This song was somewhat influenced by Kim Hiorthøy.
Great drum programming, great feel to the electronica sounds, and then through all that an organic whistling which is at once out of tune and possibly the most beautiful melody ever! Fantastic track.
really enjoying this stuff at the moment. So chilled. but not in the slightest bit dull or uninteresting. Exactly the kind of music i feel like at the moment.
I listened to this playlist a couple times at work today. Of course it's great. I particularly noticed a lot of really nice guitar work. Looking forward to more listens.
Glu is always one step ahead of the curve...and we love to start our day turning up thier latest grooves...This one is especially brilliant...and we love to put it on repeat!
Excellent work... reminds me of some of my favorite video game soundtrack music. Would work very well in a Metroid game or in Portal... in other words, something sci-fi with a female protagonist, I guess!
wow gordy! i had NO idea of your musical inclinations whatsoever....these tracks are cosmic......touch me reminded me of my oral fixation for some reason- nice build. keep up the good work eh, where can someone get a hold of this tunage....cause if i was wound up before, im not now. this is some real kickback light it get it on sh*T...thanks for the turn on- atka

Barney! "Ears held hostage" wow! Thanks, my friend. Really digging your more recent stuff.. Cannot wait to hear the finished EP! Good luck, and hope you are enjoying the new gear!
We found a nice bathroom, and, moved by whimsy, decided to write this little shuffle for y'all. Took us about 15 minutes to write and record. It'd lose its spontaneity, otherwise, no?
Style:
Crosby-Stills-Nash-Young-esque Bathroom Folk

this is beautiful. What a lovely theme! I know what you mean about composing. When I sit down at a piano something magical comes over me... have to get one.
You know when you're creating something and it comes out exactly how you wanted it, and then it becomes you favorite? This one is still my favorite and has not been dethroned yet.
The song is all by me - words, vocals, bass, the "guitar…
yeah it is confusimicating! I have no clear answer for you! Most folks here respond by commenting back on their own tune just as you did, but it's not protocol by any means. cheers, and thanks for listening!
Brief musical sketch, to be transformed into a teary-eyed country weeper.
Instrumentation:
1 Dobro Resonator Guitar, played on both sides of a slide.
[If you give a page a dobro ...]
I got word this morning that my dog died sometime overnight, following his emergency surgery.
It's never easy to lose a pet, but I find it's especially difficult when they're young and you were expecting to spend many more good years with them…
Well, this is why I don't play drums. It's the best Moon I could pull off. I keep hammering the gtr riff over and over, but it's because it was so much fun to play. Its structure is a little too meandering in hindsight, but oh well. For whatever…

"meeting of the Beatles and Trent Reznor" ---and "this is the trailmix i want to bring with me through the circles of hell" OMG!! These are such flattering comments! Thank you! :-) and thank you for coming along for the ride through bittersweet purgatory; do not forget to buy a postcard!
Okay I need to say a few things. Please read before listening!
I did not do the 24 hour challenge but I did try and hang around in the chatroom as much as possible with Glu, SisterS, and ChrisM while they battled through it.
At about midnight…
A track created for a character called Rainy, on the North walk (entitled "Life Is Monumental") of "Charm City Remix", a site-specific narrative by Kianga Ford.
NOT FINISHED. another draft. just putting it up here so that i kick myself in the pants to flesh it out and write verses and whatnot and redo everything. great!
I've been slacking, so here's something new finally.
I left flubbed notes in this one. I hate MIDI editing in Ableton Live.
I often think of ending this affair and going back to my sweetheart, Logic.
agree with kirk.. love how it 'falls into place' --and I'm a sucker for piano. I agree that Live's midi editor leaves much to be desired; I thought v8 would have at least made the grid easier on the eyes. btw, thanks for listening to the 24h .. you should do it sometime; loads of fun and insanity.

sounds so sweet, damn... i'm usually into more sample-based tracks, but your use of synth layers is so tight
