Having fun (finally) playing around with the riff for this tune by Howling Wolf, which is based on a song by Charley Patton and another by the Mississippi Sheiks and another by Tommy Johnson and so on ...
This is a bonus track as it didn't make the album
For those of you who know my stuff - does this sound like it works? or is it too much like filler - the vocals are effected, there's a drum loop - the guitar is just chopped out of a jam - i…
A fun childrens tune from 2008, it really ought to be a hot fiddle tune but i don't have a hot fiddle.
Old fox coming down the road now Bunny Bunny
Run Run Bunny Bunny Go
White tails bobbing in the air there funny bunny
Go Go Bunny Bunny Run…

Aarrhhh ye scurvy sons (and daughters) of sea-rats, the pesky pluckers have been at it again.
Pin back yer lug-holes or it's the plank ye'll be hoping for!

Lyrics:
Skip ahead to her in pants,
watch her dance in the living room
in front of all the other dinner guests.
She thumbs her nose at simulacra,
but someone must play Cleopatra
in the PTA's yearly drama fest.
Her husband broke his body…

Final version
An unaccompanied song about bedtime. Not a lullaby though. Oh no!
What does anyone think of the 'cat's moustache' line - it seems like that's a make or break call right there and i like it when i read it but it's hard to sing without…

I'm still not sure meself but it calls for drastic measures.
either i have to change the lyric or i have to call the album 'The Cat's Moustache'.
Reg has been with the new women in his life now for a while. She has noticed that Reg has an air of sadness around him.She wants to get to the bottom of it.She starts to ask him why? all the time. Reg wants to keep his secrets of his past to himself…
LMAO
you might be able to imagine what it's like to cue this up after reading the comment you left on Willie McTell. That was possibly the nicest thing anyone ever said to me and then this song starts up :
"No need to thank me
For making you happy ..."
Love it.
Final version
One of my heroes. Willie McTell was blind from birth and travelled all over the south in the thirties at a time when many people would never go more than 20 miles from their home.
Plus nobody sings the blues quite like him…
Jekyll and Hyde
are both well and alive
and they're living inside of home
Jekyll is kind to me
Smiles all the time to me
Hyde is a wild arrow from a bow
As much as Jekyll makes you smile
If she drinks herself some wine
You'll be the one that…

This song is sort of about making a clean break, killing off the lead character in your story and burying him along with all his sins before the inevitable happens, and the bad guy gets his. Initially came from a jam with my mate Ben Price who…
First of 24 new song I have written. This one is cute, about unrequited love no doubt. #:)
When I say 24 new songs not all will make the cut but most of them will. I will be busy for a good long time!!
Using pointless picks of course.
See my…
tried listening to this but Alonetone hasn't played anything for me for about 2 hours. Thanks for the feedback again. That's exactly the kind of thing i need to hear. I've been aware of it and tried different positions and things around the mike but didn't think of Eqing it - i try to avoid that kind of fiddling as i get lost so easily in there but if there is something specific to do i should be able to figure it out.
Thanks again and good to see you getting some new songs in the pipeline.

Final version of this tune - voice and guitar, banjoe accompaniment
i'm still getting used to this new mic and finding my voice sounds different with or i'm singing differently because of it. So .. feedback appreciated, and if you like it…
thanks for the kind words and the feedback guys and gals - i'm not sure you can even find my voice with a spade, tho ....
i shall have a play around with the Eq and see if i can make head or tail of it. It's not something i've used much to tell the truth (and why not tell the truth once in a while eh?) so i might actually learn something.
I did this last summer as I can hear a car go by my window. Anyway it's an old song by the great Hoagy Carmichael. I wanted to wait until I could redo the vocal part because I am not happy with it. It's just a scratch track and after I listened…
I love Hoagy Carmicheal - got some old 78s in the attic but never did get around to finding a cd of his stuff. Nice track and a good choice for a cover
This is the first demo [Sister Savage](http://alonetone.com/sistersavage) and I have made for our RPM 2011 album.
Although I've uploaded a copy here we'd be really grateful if you would listen to the [version uploaded by Sister](http://alonetone…
actually this is a good place to comment on the piano here, which is so evocative, and guides the mood beautifully. I appreciate it more each time i hear it.

Beautiful and heartfelt. It's a smasheroo!
i re-sang this because the start was bugging me so it's slightly, not radically, different and in a good direction.
