Exquisite. I heard hints of Giovannis music for The Wicker Man here so I'm a sucker for anything like that. This piece has its own identity though and is truly sublime.

Very nice "Classical-noir" feel to it (and I can see we both like rain sounds (check out my "Goodbye French Johnny" track). The 'car crash' really stopped me in my tracks!
Well done - and thanks for your kind words about my work.
This is my attack on writing a rock nd roll song! I was inspired by the sounds of Boston and VanHalen and I found the phrase Elegant woman While I was looking through the newspaper one day and immediately thought up a song idea!

When a friend is diagnosed with cancer, or any life threatening illness, we want to say something. But what do we say? This is a meditation on transience and emptiness, two central zen buddhist teachings.
Some Greek mythology 101 with a little incorporation of "All of old. Nothing else ever. Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better." - Samuel Beckett
After hearing people day in and day out wish for the weekend, I felt the need to write a song to remind them that they were essentially wishing their life away. This music is funk/blues with a Meters feel.
I guess this would be the "centerpiece" of the album. Like the rest of the album it really stumbles along the line between droney and simply repetitive, and it needs a bit of a reworking to reach its potential.
