A self-portrait in grunge.
I recently got an electric guitar, so I'm testing the waters a little bit to see where I can use it.
Electric instrumentation sure changes the way I approach multi-tracking, that's for sure!
This song was recorded a short time prior to a very messy break-up.
Hope you can feel me, it's hard to put this out there.

I would say that your music talent is vast, but that would be like playing you in chess-stressfully unsatisfactory. So Bobby Fisher, a match over tea, cakes, and talk of the terroristical approach of the mainstream media to sell more tax dollars for rail guns on every government lifeboat and supply plane?
This is the finished version of Iris Florentine. The acoustic version is still up, though...

This crazy getaway song is a little something I wrote when I was convinced that the cops were about to raid my apartment for some reason.
It sounds a little neurotic, kind of like a space-jazzy Radiohead song, except all instrumental.
Make up…
So Round.
So Smooth.
So Tightly Packed.
AMERICAN SPIRIT CIGARETTES.
Then, there's like, this totally soft camera dissolve, into this midriff shot of some girl whom has scratched a rift into her Girbaud jeans in the Eleventh Grade, who has a pouch of turquoise American Spirits rolling tobacco tucked discretely into her right butte pocket.
From the angle of the camera, from the midriff down, you can see the little Native American Guy hitting his piece pipe from the side, looking at you from the side pocket of the scratched out long-fisherman fingernail polished with Manic Panic Original Polish, Cerulean Blue, or whatever.
In any case, so, yeah. He's looking at you out the side of the corner butte pocket, wandering weather or naught you payed a tension in Spanish class that day.
Sincerely,
Jacques Eliott Merlot
Dear Sara K. Quin,
So round. So smooth. So tightly packed.
Then, there's like, this totally slow camera dissolve, & the voiceover guy does his:
"AMERICAN SPIRIT CIGARETTES"
& like, there's this panorama shot on a Leica body with a Minox frame, with 1600-speed Fujifilm 70mm, black & white, of Sara K. Quin, walking away from the camera, from the midriff down.
Around & aboot, eh?
Sincerely,

Thom Yorke liked this track so much that Radiohead convinced ɃɈȪЯҠ herself to do an unplugged, all-acoustic instrumental cover that is hard to find, but search the ᶆᶏᶉᶏᶇᵭᵰ setlist for more information.
Eloquent, tuneful and moving - I look forward to perusing the back catalog you've assembled here.
How're things in your neck of the woods? Glad to see you're keeping busy.
Look for a PM from me soon.

Love it - Thanks for sharing... -Moe
World War Nine does an a capella version of this, with Toby Luscious on vocals.
The story doesn't end with Jack Merlot. Check out "Blood Work" by World War Nine.

Wow this is what I wake up to every morning?! This shit's good! Very reminiscent of the Fleet Foxes, Kri$
"I dream of Orca whales / 'n Owls / but I wake up in Fear," "...You will never be mine / YEW will never Be Mine / YEW WHEEL NEVER BE MY DEER"
Then there's this pirate ship from the North Korean Pirate Bay who _thinks_ he has captured Tegan R. Quin on her way to Aldi Foods.

Graveyard Party? I just finished Gaiman's the Graveyard Book and it was spot on. Thank you and I miss you all.
So this is The Escape. But where are the RCMP?
Hmm. Guess this one didn't go over as well as it could have.
