I liked the way you softened the vocal for the,"We blame ourselves....." and I still love the chorus.

Her front yard had plum trees that smelled heavenly when the were in bloom. Now every time i smell a plum tree bloom it takes me back to the good times i had with Belinda and wondering what ever happened to her.
Me -So sweet. Peggy wore Sweet Honesty perfume. I’m sure if I met some girl with that I would be shaken.

I go farther and farther into my appreciation of you songwriting skills... lyrics poetic... ex Broke Piano.. The line that got me this time was "The only things that moves my strings is when somebody breathes" I once interviewed a popular musician in Tulsa, John D.Levan, in the late 70s. When I asked him where he got his ideas for songs, he laughed and said, "Heck, you just turn your head, and thre's a song!" Your line is saying the same, only more intensely... it's the inclusion of "human breath". goes even deeper.

Belinda Stephens - Lovely, James. Who are you singing about?
James Michael Taylor
Belinda Stephens Specifically, Peggy. But we all have the voices of our parents and children and other loved ones that we live with.
Comments on James Michael Taylor's stuff
Yeah! One of your long, straight roads, top down, sun shining!
Super native american flavoured track. Sounds good through the headphones especially.
Great track mate.
That's pretty darn good, especially for the situation you described. It's really fun that you caught it on tape.
Another gem. You got me laughing. Sometimes we're our own worst enemy. Sometimes we just need a little short term pleasure. I like your optimism! ( it's not if . . it's when )
Oh how we love to add to our troubles.
I like this song very much. IMHO it's your best song from this album. Well done. ER
Well, they are all good Im sure , But this one is straight across. I like the clearity. More straight on please
Damn, James you really sound like nile young
A provacative story, and the scary thing is that it's true.
A amazing bit of information to share with a broad spectrum of the populous
HA! Great stuff!

very informative James, I'm so happy my fat ass can be blamed on somebody else
Great message... Also, the style of the music fits the spirit of what's being sun... Awesome!
This is enchanting. I really enjoyed your story, the chorus is clever and I love the dual vocal used to great effect.
WOW!!!!! LOVED ALL OF THEM.IMPOSSIBE TO KEEP A DRY EYE! "THAT SAME CONVERSATION" REVISITED.
I like how you do your harmonies. Give those guys a raise.
how cool is this, and it is such a nifty way to blame our troubles on the bad guys who run everything (those bastards)
This is GREAT! You're making me hungry.

Great groove...
Such pathos. We could collect all the Ghost Town songs on Alonetone and have a very interesting album.
It would be cool to put the GHOST TOWN songs in a collection. A great subject with so much sadness... You really capture it here.

WoW! What an interesting counterpoint: slow recitation with snappy drum track.
Really snappy and tight. What an interesting lyric.
