I took an old track that was a cover of Hear my train and dropped the vocals and added some new electric guitar tracks. I had just upgraded my recording setup and was testing some hardware and software when I did this. It has a punchy lil guitar…

It does have Allman Bros. vibe....thought the same thong after I laid down the elec rythym gtrs.....oh man do I have a story about an Allman bros concert I was at in'96.....good god....

Tasty.
Does sound very summery - almost enough to block out the rain going on here.
Maybe it's cos I'm a guitarist, but I felt no "rambling on" without the vocal. It's almost got an Allman Brothers vibe to it.
Just realised I hadn't listened to this...
There's quite an amazing breadth of styles you handle. I feel like I do electric stuff and acoustic stuff, but it's all pretty much rock-pop with hints of blues, country, and folk in varying degrees. The only time I step out of this is if I approach the recording machine without a finished song and just wing it (rarely finish any of those though!).
Another nice one :-)
lol - that'll teach me to post before the owner has fixed the title etc...
Good excuse to give it a second listen. And reading the "About" now - yeah, I thought David Bowie when I was listening to "75e67 c5 etc" (actually, that might have been what made me think of David Bowie!)
A bit of comic relief is good when you have some writers block. I had he song mapped out years before I recorded it. I need to record its companion "Won't you please squeeze my udder Farmer Joe?".
Did this many years ago. It came together very quickly. There are know synths, all guitars and backwards vocals, sped up vocals, detuned vocals.....whacked sounds. I wrote the lyrics on the spot. I love its deep personal message...lol!
This one kind of sneaks up on me. First listen didn't grab me a lot - nice guitars and all, but...
Second listen, I was right there. Nice groove and cool song on top of it.
Yeah, I can here all sorts of progression going on in these tracks. But even here you can tell you've got the ears. You've had a big effect on me the last few days - not sure what I'm recording next, but I can tell you the acoustic is sat on it's stand looking worried now!! lol
A complete re-vamp of a 6 year old song. Sure I wrote the lyrics while on holiday in Majorca, rewrote a couple of lines, picked up me ole guitar last week & just played this tune & it all seem to fit. Could need a lay down now !!!!
I started this thinking it would be a tune with the emphasis on my guitar but as it progressed I heard horns and then all these other things happened and this is what I ended up with.
Pete Thompson on percussion and Angie Thompson on bass. Produced with Pete 123112

Brand new clothes. New pants and new shirt
Brand new boots to kick…
Mixed some music clips, and original compositions together for a brain killing trip through electronic glitch folk. This came from a severe lack of sleep.
Amazing you could pull this off or even imagine this amalgamation of music from different ends of the musical spectrum being arranged and work. Thnx for the great comment. It had me rolling :)
Yes it is a YouRock MIDI controller into comp via USB. Controls VSTi instruments loaded in your DAW. For this one and another song I just uploaded called The HAARP effect I used a free VSTi called Minimoog.
Smear this all over your face. You know you want to, IT'S EAR Food!
(I once found a lobster trying to invade my space in that area while awakening on the shore of a Tropical Island post Shipwreck..)
I put the music together last weekend ... my friend and bandmate Rob George did the bass track for me last Saturday ... I used my godin acoustic electric for the guitars ... did the vocals this morning and wish I had more time for the mix…
This is incredibly good ...came back for a another listen...looks like only one of my comments came thru the other day on all these current tunes of yours. That Godin sounds great. Love the message here. Happy New year.
This groovy song was written by the great Jimmy Smith.
Project Wakerobin is:
Kevin Gerzevitz - Hammond Organ
Jason Stewart - Guitar
Marc Carmi Smith - drums
Poor old Reg is down in the dumps and has started comparing his life to those of others more successful ...the go getter's in life...which poor old Reg has never really been one don't get me wrong he works hard but it always seems to be for someone…
Comments on JR James's stuff
Good song! My feet are tapping! Let's hear the story about the Allman Bros concert.

These damn dead guys are always playin slide guitar better than me! First Duane Allman and now Cobain! Lol!
Your slide guitar sounds like Kurt Cobain haha very well done man!

Very cool, yeah, it kinda sounds like one first few tracks on Bowie's Low album.
That is crazy how it showed that info before I processed all info...

Haaa! Maybe this is better.
Like this one. Kinda tricky lyric though - I can see why you haven't sung it lol
Haa...doesnt feel much like Christmas these days....hi temps today 106 degrees....it was 116 on tuesday....
Merry Christmas ....".
lol Been trying to make some sort of reasoned critique/comment, but I'm laughing too much
Now this one grabbed me immediately. Really well put together.
