I took an old track that was a cover of Hear my train and dropped the vocals and added some new electric guitar tracks. I had just upgraded my recording setup and was testing some hardware and software when I did this. It has a punchy lil guitar…

Tasty.
Does sound very summery - almost enough to block out the rain going on here.
Maybe it's cos I'm a guitarist, but I felt no "rambling on" without the vocal. It's almost got an Allman Brothers vibe to it.
Just realised I hadn't listened to this...
There's quite an amazing breadth of styles you handle. I feel like I do electric stuff and acoustic stuff, but it's all pretty much rock-pop with hints of blues, country, and folk in varying degrees. The only time I step out of this is if I approach the recording machine without a finished song and just wing it (rarely finish any of those though!).
Another nice one :-)
lol - that'll teach me to post before the owner has fixed the title etc...
Good excuse to give it a second listen. And reading the "About" now - yeah, I thought David Bowie when I was listening to "75e67 c5 etc" (actually, that might have been what made me think of David Bowie!)
A bit of comic relief is good when you have some writers block. I had he song mapped out years before I recorded it. I need to record its companion "Won't you please squeeze my udder Farmer Joe?".
Did this many years ago. It came together very quickly. There are know synths, all guitars and backwards vocals, sped up vocals, detuned vocals.....whacked sounds. I wrote the lyrics on the spot. I love its deep personal message...lol!
This one kind of sneaks up on me. First listen didn't grab me a lot - nice guitars and all, but...
Second listen, I was right there. Nice groove and cool song on top of it.
Yeah, I can here all sorts of progression going on in these tracks. But even here you can tell you've got the ears. You've had a big effect on me the last few days - not sure what I'm recording next, but I can tell you the acoustic is sat on it's stand looking worried now!! lol
THE OPENER OF DOORS
THAT SLOWLY EVENLY OPENING LORD
THAT MANY WILL GET SUCKED IN
THAT MANY WILL GET SHUT OUT
FROM GLOWING TO CHANTING OF WORDS
FROM JOUSTING AND THROWING OF SWORDS
DAYLIGHT INTO DARK A CARRIAGE MADE FROM A GOURD
IN THE FEW FLEETING…
For Elly Barnes
Thanks for the moment to think......
-My part of peace-
To think for a moment
Is the greatest of gift to me.
To think without fear
Better still....
My part of peace
Detracts in the least
From the good…
Hard rock song about losing faith....
Lyrics:
I'M GOING DOWN
Sedate it with barbiturates
Inject it with a needle
Calm this stirring anger
That I always feel
Lord, where are you
You've mocked my every prayer
Everything around…
This acoustic song is a drunk nihilistic escapade with a surprise ending; so if you like to howl, join along and do your best "ahhoooo.."
Lyrics:
At full moon, I was drunk as a skunk
My belly full of bourbon, and my breath really stunk…
BLEEDING ON THE GROUND
ALL THE FEELINGS SOUND
ALL THE NOISE IS DOWN
EVERY WOUNDED JUNKIES CLOWN
SWIMMING IN A MOUND
OF PILLS AND POWDER
ALL THE PAIN IS LOUDER
ALL THE TIME IS MORE
BLEEDING ON THE GROUND
ALL THE FEELINGS SOUND
LIKE…
This is one of 6 versions of this song.
Vocals: George Williams
Lyrics: Paul Dempsey

Composed by Steffen Offermann & George Williams

This track is an improv that I don't remember making that was stretched with Paul's Extreme
Stretch http://hypermammut.sourceforge.net/paulstretch/ which is tons of fun and free!
Warning: Synthesized Acoustic Instruments
(JV-30, ca 1997) A simple rustic air with a sitar duet jammed into the bridge. That tells a profound and hearfelt story about city planning. Or not.
Once upon a time there was a boy with tunnel vision hidden far beyond the castle walls of a lifelong prison. Captive to a secret that kept him there under lock and key. Imagine was his sanity.
Thirteen days before thirteen he broke a sacred vow…
Jip1965 came round to kick my ass into gear and played a bit of rhythm i did the rest and then sent it off to the good Lady Jane to do her stuff and very nice stuff indeed! Cheers Me Lady!!! x
The Glory of Love – Tiggy Acworth 121003
Let’s sing this song together, for the glory of love
Let’s get along together, as if forever is long enough
As if forever is long enough…
You always make me happy, you always make me smile…

Good song! My feet are tapping! Let's hear the story about the Allman Bros concert.
It does have Allman Bros. vibe....thought the same thong after I laid down the elec rythym gtrs.....oh man do I have a story about an Allman bros concert I was at in'96.....good god....

These damn dead guys are always playin slide guitar better than me! First Duane Allman and now Cobain! Lol!
Your slide guitar sounds like Kurt Cobain haha very well done man!

Very cool, yeah, it kinda sounds like one first few tracks on Bowie's Low album.
That is crazy how it showed that info before I processed all info...

Haaa! Maybe this is better.
Like this one. Kinda tricky lyric though - I can see why you haven't sung it lol
Haa...doesnt feel much like Christmas these days....hi temps today 106 degrees....it was 116 on tuesday....
Merry Christmas ....".
lol Been trying to make some sort of reasoned critique/comment, but I'm laughing too much
Now this one grabbed me immediately. Really well put together.

Ah, THE main man, this should get some response, the great human to walk the Earth, Jimi, or was he ??!!??!!
A really fine song.....great sounds...

Haa...man I never heard a uke in this genre. Great move. It is pretty damn coconuts...lol! Great playing. The double time section ....damn cool.
Really diggin this. Love when the harp comes in, unexpected but sits in there perfect.
Trippy...almost Doors like.
Im in! Cool guitar style! I Like the fragmented chord tones and harmonics. You are a killer player. Thanks for posting.
As soon as it started I was captured. Taking me back to early Genesis or ELP....but all your own. Brilliant!
Dude , vocals are IT! Meaty guitar tone, growly vocals fit the story and vibe! Almost a Neil Young like solo in there...very cool! Superb.
Ahoooo.....im there man! Nice track. You have a knack for crafting some killer tunes. We can all join in...ahooooo!
What velvet underground would have sounded like with some distortion pedals. Heavy dissonant shiznit right there!
Nice movement and composition.
Hell yeah....right from go! Nice solid track guys. Almost like a bluesy version of Asia. This is great. Nice boards, vocals and solid rythym section
Dark movie score...intense.
Get out! This is incredible! jackpot! Great song and vocals...my my! Like the retro synths. Sweet!
A high level of melody and harmony coming from you once again.
This is right up the music score for a tv show or cartoon etc...I dig it.
Beautiful...that is exquisite playing...
Kind of reminds me of Cat Stevens. Nice songwriting and vocal
Really nice take on a blues with some outside playin. Great sense of harmony in your work here. Very good vocal to boot. Enjoyed whole thing.
Hey....nice job on this. Harmonies sound excellent.
Yes...it does have that Rocky Horror vibe.
Nice songwriting and performance.
