A piece that is over and over built with a sequence from a new sequencer that you program the steps of the sequence, the melody by scaling potentiometers, turning knobs till it's like you want!
A very slow piece built by two different synth sequences inspired from trial/error development/build of an electrical synth circuit I began in late 2023 created by Moritz Klein. I have recently after several attempts gotten it to work to the…
I'm working on a new album of electronic pieces with modular synths and Pure Data and possibly some electro-acoustic, electro mechanical. This one will be in the mix.

Warm and minimal clean.. to listen 👂 to the other lines of melody come in soft but just right can't wait for the album 😀 the sounds at about 3:14 or pi time is wild and fun 😁
Inspiration was seeing Kavin Allenson's pictures from his jam in the Fort Worth sculpture Vortex. I wasn't going to do in Pure Data but I opened PD to setup a base structure of oscillators to use to tune one of my modules. I got a stuck note…

got to listen to this today - it is excellent - I like how you layered and peeled back the layers to close. I a big fan of happy accidents and I'm glad you found this one!
I'm working on a series of new pieces for an electro-acoustic album. As this one is most are done using Pure Data as a somewhat compositional playing in the process. I'm capturing real time playing to loop tables and then laying them into an…

Pure data pd 🤯 just not easy to create compositions but once I started using maxy like I do I can see how much patience pd requires that I just didn't have.. I have now found touchdesigner it's only been out on the net since 2000 .. but I bet touchdesigner and pure data are able to talk in real time.. 😁 with each other and I don't really know what that could mean for live performance.. ??
Some new energy inspired this week by successfully making a USB host on a Raspberry Pi to be a new midi controller. Most of the voices on this layered piece that grew from a single melody were done with an 80's Yamaha TX81Z synth module. I relayered…
A very loose homage to the passing of the amazing and wonderful tunesmith/songwriter, Burt Bacharach. Created in Pure Data in an equally loose Brian Eno feel.
Some more experiments basing on JI frequencies and using random objects to control in Pure Data. I'm also using a voice sample from a Freesound.org user, Adharca. Planning to remix this a few times, this is one for new event on Discord.
Was listening while making dinner to David Beardsley's 'The Forty Six Steps' which is in Just Intonation. I'm continually fascinated by this alternative approach of creative composition and have been trying to understand off/on for years. To…
song#2 for RPMC2016
Expiration date
A rough month for rock stars
All the good ones are leaving
It's about that time
Just the songs remain and
Public grieving
I read the news today oh no
When you died they wrote you up
Counted your…

acapella vocal loop
In the bleak midwinter
Frosty wind made moan
Earth stood hard as iron
Water turned to stone
Snow had fallen
Snow on snow on snow
In the bleak midwinter
Long, long ago
- Christina Rossetti 1872
Kavin enjoyed your set, the ideas are flowing and developed. Acoustic vamp contrast nice midway as well as all the sparkling energy at end. Going to check out the festival video which is at https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLjiWJF83CBimfFtaVbPXHU9C_wcbYnMih
This is my take of a obscure, yet controversial and famous Jackson Browne cover called "The Rebel Jesus." It was recorded in 2011 as part of the Nowhere Advent Project. For more info on that, go to my website- but the song turned out good I think…
You've got some good life in these songs. If your intent was subtle Christian you hit it meaning it comes off in a nice way without seeming pushed down the throat.
This is a new song that I wrote while I was up in Nebraska. The backstory is that I was a donor match for bone marrow donation. In essence: if someone has leukemia or several other diseases, they sometimes can be cured if a match can be found…

Lyrics by Adrienne Harvey. Music by Randy Nixon, Jr. and Gene Eric Mann. Vocals by Harvey. BG acoustic rhythm and acoustic bass guitar by Mann. Remaining guitars by Nixon.
Neat groove and some dark, I hear a kind of Jefferson Starship influence, perhaps it's in us all. Thanks very much for your several recent comments re my trax. There's no good way to thank someone other than post a comment for them and perhaps that's a good thing. Best with your muse Gene!
Intermittences is about memories coming and going, sometimes hurting. It is about ups and downs.
This part is about felling fulfilled, but it is a dream. At the end you wake up. The harmony is still in you, but a part is lost and you feel alone...
Waiting For The Lights To Come Back On
Yesterday after a storm rolled through, we lost power. Recorded two separate tracks with the Little Martin using the handheld, then laid them on top of each other.
DECENCY AND HONESTY AND TRUTH

And made a little wild

Clever lyricism Merry Bear. Dead pannish and Lyle Lovett like feel and delivery. Thanks for the nice comment earlier and sorry to have to had trashed but reposted as I thought there were glitches in first upload. Appreciate the listen and like this one.

Jan 17 2015 - Remixed. I was always kinda disappointed with what the original mix sounded like. Listening to it the other day I realised what it is - I'd mixed the vocals too loud. This reduced the "stereo" and killed off a lot of the life…
Theatrical and remniscent of Meat Loaf and late Freddie Mercury at times in delivery, feel. Thanks very much as well Andrew for the nice words on some my trax.
this is all James Bailey’s work and again I just added the delayed stereo effects with the bent time lines left and right.. no big thing but I am liking this just as much as the original.. next comes the effects :) while the movie renders..
Comments on jimgoodinmusic's stuff
excellent work!
Impressive that you built the circuit by trail and error - beside the evocative music you've created!
this is a wonderful study in contrasts - I am looking forward to your album - the opening theme is quite an ear worm!
Warm and minimal clean.. to listen 👂 to the other lines of melody come in soft but just right can't wait for the album 😀 the sounds at about 3:14 or pi time is wild and fun 😁
Awesome thanks for posting this and taking time for the slow Changes
This is beautiful
Whoa that’s cool, really dig the subtle intricacies.
Nice gradual evolution of the timbre, Jim.

Intense trance meditation.. I am so impressed 👍😵💫

Love the sound of your guitar on this plus the line 'stand around here waiting to die...' fabulous!
Kavin that's beautifully played and sung and spoken. Love the feel and the last line!
Kavin beautiful interpretation and choice! Going on your RPM?

Raw and interesting, Leonard Cohen like at times in delivery and a nice kind James McMurtry.
Dig this a lot - again very earthy, organic quality in what you do.
Nice cover with a sense of your own thing. Nice earth in this Justin.

picturesque and Satie 100 years in the future.
Like dissecting sound in the trees Roger, really interesting.
Pretty neat - loss of power and found Derrek Bailey on the way:)
Kavin this is right out a fusion in one of the great duo albums of Towner/Abercrombie, wonderful vibe and feel.

Diggin it - cbg giving great tonal noise floor to the space storm. Like the middle interlude interplay.
Bill like your graphic on this. Mixes are quite creative, you really paint tonality each week.
