Well, here is a new version of this one. I was not playing my own guitar, but one of a friend, which doesn't sounds so bright. Anyway, i think this is a better interpretation, but still has some mistakes. (this time is well tuned..)

shard hopping...or hard shopping? either way, this little remix-expansion of Kavin's "shards" is one of 21 "duos" on an album I'm releasing next week @ bandcamp.
made this for the recent indaba contest; kept mine true to Reich in some ways but put some new spins on it. my main rule was to use only the orig for sound sources.
This track was my attempted submission for Ramen Music #001. I finally got around to uploading it here.
It was made using several instances of the Max for Live instrument "Loop Shifter" that I played in real-time using my Novation Launchpad…

Comments on kavin.'s stuff
Always envy those guitarists for what they can do by simply retuning some strings :-)
beautiful.
i'm really feeling this one... and wishing i could get my hands on a resophonic guitar.
This takes me on a musical cruise. I love the rolling groove.
cooltunings
Big difference from 4x11. I guess it's the Taylor eh? Nice sounding guitar.
Jammin'

Sweet sounds from Planet Texas, nice!

Agree with Norm - very cool!
Very enjoyable. Thanks!
11 string guitar? is that a 12 string with one missing? Nice piece (and novel tuning, well novel to me anyway)
sometimes less is better...sweet texture
i love how loose this one feels
a touch of 'factory girl' just a touch.
Very nice. I am liking your style as of late. The loop acoustic flow is working for sure man. Got me hooked.

I do too!
gettin my shotgun..
THis kicks.
Wow. I used to be able to play that on my 12 string (!) but never got near this proficiency on it. I'm impressed.
Wow! You must have some organizational skills...great mash! I like the reversed gtr and various treatments.
Cheers Chris! Fantastic video too.
Yay! I like the contrast of fluttering flute with the violent smashing sounds being triggered by the percussion perhaps?
good luck, hope you win. A great entry!
This rocks hard! Congratulations on finishing this project!
Dynamic, slightly atonal. Nice!
excellent cover!
@jarvis: Squier Tele run thru son Eric's POD XT.
might be a leeetle to experimental for what they want for Ramen, but I liked it! Bethan singing? Really?
O lovely, really good improv!
If that's MiDI,has a great live sound, hard to accomplish. Brilliant playing too. Very impressive, doesn't need vocals, IMO.
Wild mechanistic nightmare with a Magma choir!
this Hardest Blow project is really awesome! Cant wait to hear it all in it's entahrety.
@AFC- it reminds me of early Scorpions, hence the heavy metal observation..heavy metal lite? Ah well, screw genres...
Love how this turned out! I don't get to do heavy metal often, that was fun!
It's hard to get this expressiveness from an ebow, well done!
