One of my first experiments with DADGAD tuning. I was hoping to get a dark, droning sound. I lived in Missouri for a lot of years and this sounds like what it feels like to be out in the sticks there.
Done by the Blind Boys of Alabama and Johnny Cash but NEVER like this. The base for this song was constructed from home made samples, including the sound of a 9mm Sig Sauer being fired. Bass was my first attempt at using a synth (Massive).
Recorded in 1990, this music brings together the alto sax of Carlos Ward, the late Tim Green on tenor, Louis Moholo on drums, and Paul Rogers on bass, along with Dallas trumpeter Dennis Gonzalez.
A tribute to my good friends Saturn's Return from Southport, ME. A great hard punk/metal band. The first three parts were instrumental songs, so I felt I could offer my playing this way. Check em out on Facebook!
More from the archives. This was the opening cut on Scartaglen's 1986 album "The Middle Path". A double jig, a slip jig, and 2 reels. I played bouzouki and Uilleann pipes on this cut
Comments on kavin.'s stuff
Lovely, gentle and bluesy Kavin. Beautifully played as usual.

Smooth, and much different from what I've been hearing from you. Tastefully done. ~Geas
Awesome; all you need now is a Barry White stand-in :-)
Making me happy! Great song!!
I'm with Savage. I like it too!
Well *I* like it. I think the busy beat and the laid back guitar work incredibly well together. And it's always a pleasure to hear some Mick. :-)
Subtle touches of harmonica, mellow guitar sounds, essence of a lazy, summer day, very nice!
Great playing man very cool and amazing dig it.
You amaze me!!!! w;-)
This is some fine guitar playing. So impressive.
Man you can play that guitar. This is beautiful. It reminds me so much of Jeff Martin from Tea Party. Peaceful, relaxing.

@kirklynch It's all bridge pickup, guitar run thru Yamaha AcousticStomp to simulate a miked dreadnought (because I'm lazy).
Swoon.
Beautiful man! You must be recording at least partly using a pickup- has that distinctive sound
Texas calling...
Timeless...carefree...so lovely. Oh, and GREAT playing!
