Track 1 for the RPM 2015 album Cold Ground Was My Bed
No man is a prophet in his own home
No man is a prophet in his own
You can do just what you want, in the end you stand alone
No man is a prophet in his own
Don’t want no cryin’ when…

Artist's description:
Forgive me my voice!
This may be the most difficult vocal part I have written and tried to sing - but the vocal dissonance IS intentional.
Everything here (except vocals of course…
Yeah B, weird. If you look at comments, the picture is not available and there's a big white box. If you view more, the picture is present, and also a slice of it at the top of the screen. Interesting bug.
I loaded Sonar with a couple audio tracks + echo and recorded my wife's seagull acoustic via a dean markley soundhole pickup.
After the take I multiplied a couple times and edited a touch.
This is really just a test for a planned piece like…
Caveat emptor: I did absolutely none of the drumming in this piece.
ANOTHER WORLD PREMIER! FIRST RECORDING OF THIS PATTERN - EVER!
My friend Kokou "Alex" Yemey delighted me with another visit this evening. He played "Aju" - all 5 tracks…
Very raw, completely improved piece. One track, one take.
Guitar -> GT-10 -> JamMan Stereo
A touch of Discord 3 was added as a send effect. Limiting on the master track. Et voila.
Sorry about the clipping.
Recommended listening…
Although I think I like this version the best, a longer break in the middle (at 2:40 there is a short one) with some ambient shalalas would be cool, just to break it up a bit. Just my op., the song and production are great as is.
Part IV of a fully improvised ep. Available for purchase at bandcamp.

By buying you will also get a $5 discount on the price of the LP I am working on once it comes out.
I have issues at my house, sometimes they manifest themselves in my tracks. In this case, the bassoon and oboe represent the mouse. The guitar is the peanut-butter.
Comments on kavin.'s stuff
Reminds me of some late-'60s Psychedelic Grunge Rock, which is like, wow, my favorite genre of music, man! Far out and groovy. Happening. Rock on!
sweet sweet playing..best of luck with rpm
Sweet, lovely lyrics, singing, and picking.
Oh, yeah, forgot to point out the lovely guitarwork, ( 12 string ???) nicely sung too ;-)
A very good cover of an adorable song ! A+
Oh man, that was super. Having another go round. Indeed. A must download.
greatly resembles Woody too me!
The pleasant, well-mixed vocals added a new, broader dimension.
New version with vocal.

I dig it.
Interesting percussive sound.
I dig the percussion and the jazzy guitar! VERY GROOVY! Rock on!

Great sonic space and execution, BL will be favoriting/dl'ing this.

Don't know how I missed this the first time around. Badass slidin'!
thanks Rhonie! You may want to look up the original John Fahey version, too.
Reminiscent of Neil Young's Dead Man soundtrack. Keep up the great sounds Max.
