The inspiration for this year's album. I wanted to make a track that would make both Neil Degrasse Tyson and Pete Seeger happy...
...I hope you ruminate on the size of the universe - and just what that means - while hearing the girls play.
All right, so one of those silly songs needed to find its way onto the album. In an effort to teach the students on my middle school team about rhythm in poetry, I wrote this little bit of foolishness about a fictional character (so yes, you…

Yes, it makes you think. I really like the "Landry girls". Sounds like a clarinet and a flute, but I might be wrong. Whatever it is, it's fun to hear the next generation.

One of the first songs I ever wrote... When we bought our first house, we had a nice big back yard on a 1/3 acre lot... With the train tracks just on the other side of the back fence.

Recorded when we weren't sure how close to the 35-minute mark we were getting for the RPM Challenge... And every second counts.
Besides, we didn't have any "woos" on the album. And woos always make an album better

Had a bad day when I wrote this.
There is a rule I stick by though.
"Divert and sublimate your anger and potentially virulent emotions to creative energy"
So I did..
Picked up the Kay G101 and pressed record on the iPhone voice memo…
So I was locked in the broom-cupboard, checking out some old songs that need recording.
I'd just picked one and then suddenly this thing came out of nowehere. It started with one of those guitarist doodles that other musicians love so much…
This is a beautiful song from Joni Mitchell. My friend had his 50th birthday and this was my gift, I played it live at his party and recorded it later (4-2-2011)in my livingroom.
It's one take, can't mis that if you listen to it all the way…
Oh my, Inge... That soulful voice of yours is just outstanding... Soothing, almost healing. So happy to hear a new track from you! Please, please, please keep them coming.
This song is written by Keith Landry.
He asked me to sing it and off course I wanted that!!
Thank you Keith!
About "Keep It Simple (with Inge)"
Well, I wrote this song as a note to my wife (who makes lists from time to time). I thought…
For our beautiful son Willem, in French Guillaume.
recorded in my livingroom, 16-7-2009.
I called the song Guillaume before because of the beautiful sound.
Since 2012 I changed the title of the song into : Willem.
Because that makes much…
Hi folks - Uncle Paul is back at it after a 4 month hiatus from music.
Sometimes I just have to walk away from it. I'm sure most of you know what I'm talking about.
I forced myself through the 2012 RPM Challenge
and quit playing right after…
None of us knows where we'll be tomorrow,
Let alone 2 weeks from this date.
Will I still be in this place?
"It's okay", she says, "I'll definitely call you later."
If I don't go and forget to,
And if I'm still living here.
Can we say we see a…

Great track right from the opening notes. Love the arrangement (that ringing mandolin is perfectly used). A bit more attention to cleanly-hit vocals for the higher notes would have this song radio-ready. GREAT song.
Comments on Keith Landry's stuff
Great Vocal
Oh wow...that voice...
Great song!
How did I miss this gem? Love it! w;-)
Great job ladies :smiley_cat:
A whole bucket of awesomeness. Excellent performance on the horns and woodwinds.
It's actually a flute (from the 14-yr old), an alto sax (from the 12-year old), and a clarinet (from the 10-year old). And thanks for listening!

Man, I wish I could make sounds like this. Room-filling. Damn.
Magnificent and truthful songwriting. This is about as good as it gets.

Oh, what a voice. Heart-melting harmonies through the bridge.
It's hard to believe that it's been a year since I came by to listen to this track. How and why have I deprived myself for so long?
Faved instantly. Great listening.
Verrrrrrry cool. I would love to get into that creative mind to find out how stuff like this is born.
Definitely one of your best. Great clean sound, signature harmonies, radio ready. Outstanding.
Ooooooooh... this is NICE!
I know when to go minimalist and stay out of the way of guitar excellence!
Jim's a genius.
Faved at 0:03.
LOVE that signature Kavin slide!
Damn. How have I missed this playlist for so long?
Faved at 0:08. Perfectly mellow guitar work, with every string perfectly in place.
Outstanding songwriting, performing, and arrangement once again.
