Had these backing tracks laying around on my drive for a while and didn't know what to do with them, so grabbed my Ebow and a fretless electric that I built for myself a couple years ago and had a go. My fretless playing is really in its infancy…

Mining the archives a bit. This is an alternate take of my "Jimi Jam" from a couple of years ago. Live to 2 tracks with the Jamman. Really only sounds OK when cranked up loud enough that your eardrums threaten to meet in the middle. LOL!!
What happened after too much time on youtube watching live vids of "voodoo chile" Noisy obnoxious and very cathartic for me! Live to 2tracks with the Jamman
Archival stuff from my distant past with former bandmates in Scartaglen. A set of traditional Irish tunes. Rescued from a cassette tape done at a concert back in the early 90's. Myself on Uilleann pipes and whistle. Mike dugger on guitar and fiddle…
I swore that I would NEVER upload this. Was having a bad day trying to loop "nice" acoustic guitar sounds and got frustrated so grabbed my Taylor and plugged it into a cheesy Effects box and straight into the looper. Started twiddling knobs and…
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW... MASTER... EXCELLENT!!!
"You are the one Neo" ;) grande maestro!!!!

Straight ahead stone city electric blues for an old friend who used to spend hours spinning BB King and Mike Bloomfield records for me. Recorded back sometime at the end of 2006 on old analog equipment

Similar in feel to the other Fragile Moment track. Mostly acoustic guitars recorded sitting in my shop on the H4N and then finished up in Cubase just this morning. September 9 09. Maybe a nice one for bedtime

Solo acoustic finger picking thing I've been working on for a while. Sometime around 1968 I started studying with Mr. George Bennett who taught me the rudiments of finger picking. Later when we played some gigs together he also taught me the rudiments…

I can't hide the fact that I've listened to Pierre Bensusan. Or that I've longed to return to Paris.
I hereby name this the "bridge to nowhere" mix since it was the musical content of the bridge that I spent the most time on.
If you've heard the song before, I've provided a shortcut video that plays the bridge from last night's version vs. tonight…
The song was constructed around a field recording of Lacandon men paddling across the lake in Métzabok, Chiapas (Southern Mexico). The Lacandon speak "Hach T'an," which is a Mayan dialect-- this is the language you hear in the track. Unfortunately…
It's the "do no harm" mix.
Because, theoretically you won't hear any difference between this and "technique 43".
Which is sad really, given how many hours I spent on it. Hours spent on the oh-so-exciting put-everything-in-Logic step…

Late night improvisation in remembrance of my father.
That twanging sound at the beginning of the song is me putting my acoustic through an amp with all knobs on 10. Acoustics feedback at 440mhz, which is an A note. The song is in A. It kind of sounds like a high tension electrical wire.

After digging this tune up really I really wanted to try it again on acoustic (which I don't play much). This is a second take recorded in…
A reverse take (recorded live at a gig) of a couple of Pink Floyd covers. The amazing Bill Pohl on 2nd guitar. It came out sounding strangely symphonic.
This is the audio version of my blacksmithing lesson from http://ironangelforge.blogspot.com/
This lesson is Blacksmithing Basics - Absolute Basics. It covers terms and the most basic tools in a quick overview, so that students of the craft…

Written in 1982 after a trip to Wyoming with a couple of Alex DeGrassi cassettes....
This song was made by two different piano samples (both
from Sudara):
1. One was recorded by Sudara (and gang?) axing away at a hapless old piano in New Mexico.
2. today, I convinced Sudara to noodle on the piano and send it over to me…
A Prog Rock instrumental with guitar and keyboard melodies and solos. Three parts to this song. Depicting peace and joy on The Path of Light. A cross between Yes and jam band music. Randal Pflum, all instruments except drums.

Thanks Kirk. Have you been working on any new tunes?
Different sound, Love the ebow work and the chord changes. Great work! J. Bowen

holy crap, I think I just discovered a rare, unreleased Hendrix recording!
Impossible not to want to clap along...super infectious and fun :) Plus the quality is amazing for having previously been on cassette.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW... MASTER... EXCELLENT!!! "You are the one Neo" ;) grande maestro!!!!
i like a lot the name... I have the images of a fretless bass and a fretless guitar on my mind :P very relaxing and mysterious
Nah man, this is great! So ethereal and unreal, but you can hear the honest, concrete, real guitar underneath all of it. Really cool combination!
Very very pleasing to my ears.
Wow this track gaves me chills in a good way. The super chilled and laidback vibe was very enjoyable.
aweeeeesome blues
Sometimes the best music comes from the random twiddling of knobs...lol I'm glad you didn't discard this and decided to share :)
Sweetly beautiful. Thank you.
..yeah, man. :)
One of those electronic picks? Great progression to slide around on.
So.... what happened to "Thanks George" you used to say on the end then?
Just having one of these at the moment Kirk. This is just beautiful.
I love this one so much. You have quite the touch with that guitar.
Glad you liked sasquatch....everytime i read the lyrics it makes me laugh. ;)
