Welp... I didn't do a feckin' thing all weekend. No laundry, no nuthin'. So I figured I'd beat the living hell out of my Ibanez in order to make up for it.
A juvenile song at best, but I feel better now :)
One take in the MBR hole... I'll…

An odd tune - took time to grow on me but I like it. Still a little sick, hence the froglike vocals and negligent production.
A song about the Rock of Gibraltar
All done on the Boss Micro BR
Long Goodbyes
You say your life is disgusting…

no frog like lyrics here man. Nice tune. The acoustic sounds really good. For the life of me I can never get my acoustic to sound this good. I like how it ends too. The chord progression is really nice. Great track man!
Played all at once through a little plastic hole (Micro BR), so I know it needs to be redone. I've been down with swine fever for the past few days and have barely been able to hang onto a guitar, so this ought to be a crowd pleaser :) A song…
A little rough but I loved making it.
My friend Dave had bought a Roland GR-20, so it was critical he did the solo in the middle and end :)
Oh, all made on the Boss Micro BR. Love that thing!!
This was fun to make!
After I read into RPM and understood that anybody could take the challenge, I joined up. I'm starting with a clean slate, so I hope I can finish! This a WIP of the first tune I'm working on. Everything I do will be recorded/produced with the Boss…
Yes - I love it! The strum is very addictive, and the light percussion works very well. Excellent vox, but could be a little higher in the mix, though.
Written and Recorded: Feb 04, 2010
Details: Epiphone Les Paul (DADGAD - capo III), Seymour Duncan Pickups, POD XT, Boss RC-20 Looper, EBow, Audacity...all fingers, no picks.
2010 RPM Challenge
This is the song that helped start my acoustic journey!

Ha, that's funny Bethan - I just finished reading "Down and out in Paris and London" and thought "Instead of meeting up with an old friend, how about an old flame?"
Lyrics I have so far:
Been traveling my crooked way
My feelings like
An unleashed dog on the run
I've roamed a mile in those shoes
I'm really glad
Those sidewalkin' days are done
When I look at you
The peace flag flies
And I want to call you the one
But those eyes are devious, girl
You remember when
We had our days in the sun
By no means the first song that popped out. It's just the first one I'm calling done beyond a remix. I think this will wind up leading in to a metal tune and will likely be shorter.
This is the first tune for my 2010 RPM Challenge.
A bit short...my first attempt earlier in the evening (completely different tune) I ended up scrapping at 1:30 a.m., so this one was done in just a few minutes...

Oh you kid us. Frog like. Good gravy. Lyrics and vox are outstanding as usual.
Yes, your throat is a bit hoarse still, but it adds to the charm. A most unusual song, good lyrics too.

Yeah, I do the same thing with vox - It's a job to "hide" them a little, but bring them out at the same time. Really cool tune.
Another listen - Really enjoyed this one!

Awesome and cool at the same time!
Big time cool! I'd like to be off the planet, let alone be off the map!
I could play this one all day. And the "scuba" bass is killer!

This is working out great - A metal tune connected with this vibe will be killer.
Yes - I love it!
This was a tease! I really loved the groove you had going... And then... Cool!
I feel the intensity - And it gets stronger as the song progresses. Really cool.
I'm thinking more Pixies meet Smashing Pumpkins, but I could be wrong! Cool tune.
Mechanically organic! I could set this one on repeat for a while. Super cool!
I feel it!
Yes - I love it.
