For someone who had the full sized G.I. Joe's as a kid, and fought with my brother using them, or shoes, or sticks, or whatever was handy, Joe got plenty of action. But since we had no sister, Joe didn't get any other kind of action. He was sad about that.
Good song, sir.

Another Sunday cover, this time putting an acoustic spin on one of my favorite tunes from RPM2010 - Communist Party by the great Sha-Pink. This song marks the first time I've ever used live percussion.
Got this in my car at the moment - kids sing along to the chorus...so do I, unless I'm at red lights and the windows are down, in which case I tap my fingers in time on the steering wheel, subtly. ;-)
very nice Tim,,, sometimes i feel that life is a series of "day to days" .. a very poetic piece,,, you express something that i definitely, and i think we all feel at times ,, well done,,, i really like this,, Richard
“Pronounce the Crown” rerecorded and remixed for July’s 30 Day Songs challenge (30daysongs.com); original demo recorded in October 2018 for xChange 2k18.

July 2023 B-side. It was laundry day and I was bored.
I want to go out
I want to roam
It's laundry day and
I must stay home
This is so boring
My brain is foam
It's laundry day and
I must stay home
What else can I do today
Tonight…
July 2023 A-side. I was thinking about Black Flag and Sex Pistols for this one.
No more kings or monarchies
We will bring them to their knees
Crowns get tossed into the sea
No rules only anarchy
You might have your throne today
But we…

Recorded and mixed (very quickly and sloppily) on the evening of 4/28/2023 for the “30 Day Songs” project. Everything was recorded on one take. The guitar is out of time at some places, vocals are pitchy and terrible. I wanted so much for this…

When I was a boy, I would ring my nan on the telephone
Numbers in the holes
Spin it round then let it go
Nowadays..
I carry a phone in my pocket
Oh stop it!
Oh where will it end?
When I was a lad
Used a notepad when I wrote thank you…
Hello.
Well Hello!
Hello Pillow,
How do you do?
I'm doing mighty fine thank you,
How about you?
Fancy a snooze?
Let's go to sleep right now x 3
Right now. Night now.
Hello.
Hello Pillow,
And what a shitter of a day.

One of the first songs I wrote for the album. The lyrics are stream of conscience that I don't think mean anything at all. I don't know, maybe they do.
It ends the album purely because the lyrics say "It's over..."

Still meta... but with the realization that I can do RPM no matter what my hinderance is. I did this whole album with an Ipad, my acoustic, a cheap microphone and a pair of headphones. All the songs were written hastily in minutes with no real…
I feel the keys and pop feel of this one screams of Tim's influences.
Like if we both listened to the same song, this would be my take away vs his.
Lyric content? You guessed it... Meta.

Damn you. You out Letter Seventeened me. And you're spot on. If we were given lyrics and chords and told to go write a song this is your version versus mine, but they'd be damn close. I mean, mine would have 30 backing vocals....
Bonus points for the very gratuitous hand claps.
This Wretched Vessel has a lot of post hardcore, Pop punk, punk, and leaning toward metal guitar riffs... but they have a shoegaze side. The only reason I even own a pedalboard is because of their guitarist.
The lyric content is more meta…
This is a lovely piece of emotion. I don't know what you're saying and I don't care. It's a feeling and it comes through.
Seriously? An iPad and a $5 mic? Wow.
The song titles have nothing to do with the lyrics. They were just cool placeholders...then they ended up staying the titles.
* Disclaimer: I understand that most of the songs on this album are pitchy and hard to listen to. I recorded all…

In the greater scheme of this vast universe, we're just invisible specks. Something to remember as we trip through this bizarre human life of ours. Recorded for the August 2022, RPM Record Every Month Challenge.
This one is short and to the point. Dedicated to those with with guts to fly in the face of conformity and live their best life. I try but it's hard to detox after all these years. Recorded as part of the August 2022 RPM - Record Every Month challenge…

Yes. You, an acoustic, some smart lyrics and a catchy tune. That is a formula that works for me.
Got this in my car at the moment - kids sing along to the chorus...so do I, unless I'm at red lights and the windows are down, in which case I tap my fingers in time on the steering wheel, subtly. ;-)
I was going to say this is my favorite track but that actually comes a few songs down the line. Still, I like this ode to toys quite a lot.
You know Tim, I really like you on these little acoustic songs. Just you and the guitar. This might be your thing. Very nice.
This may by my favorite track on this album. It's so Zepplinesque. A totally different color from the rest of the tracks. Nice singing too.
"There's a Nun, a dwarf, and a traffic map. And you don't want to know where the map is at." Legen (wait for it) dary lyrics!!
Rrrrrrrock! The calliope kills me.
That other version is very good, but I really dig your version. It kicks Major Behind!
Fuck Yeah!
Man, this is a great tune. I had almost forgotten about it.
fun piece

Damn, some sweet vox you've got! All the better to sing with.
Great stuff.
Guess I'm a Day to Day type o' guy.
:)Great vox. I like this one too.
Sweet guitar playing man. I'm a groupie now.
My rabbit died today. His name was Oskar De La Rabbit.
Oh cool. One for the National Talk Like A Pirate Day. Great!!

Oh man. I love this voice out of you. MORE OF THIS!!!!!
I love the ascending line in the bridge.
OH YEAH! And you met the July bonus challenge for 30DaySongs by including a section in 7/4. Oh so awesome.
Nice work here. You should write "dumb three minute pop songs" more often.
Just lovely. Well done, Mark.
Something made me go listen to this song again... this is just brilliant, Ed. Lovely doesn't begin to describe it.
Wow. this is really quite good, Wilsun. You don't give yourself enough credit.
Is this Anton or is it Ween? Listen for yourself and decide.
The middle eight here is brilliant.
I'm beginning to suspect that Alex is secretly Jim Noire in disguise.
This sounds like a Pixies b-side. That's a compliment.
This is a great to finish out the album.
This almost reminds me an odd cover of The Beautiful South.

I love the "losing s-s-sync" bit.
Good Lord… this is spectacular. Wilsun is a modern combination of The Cure and The Smiths and no one knows it.
Don't look now, there's a Brian on the dance floor. :) This reminds me of the Stones in their disco phase. Very cool stuff.
It starts off as a lost Cars track and then turns into a really cool indie rocker. Awesome!
You turned my song on it’s head in the most delightful way! I think I like your version better than my own.
