Chester Arthur was the president
But no one remembers him
What about you?
He served a term with no vice president
And no one resident
To tell him what to do
He came to office by a bullet's grace
Garfield lost his place
And Arthur took…
A true story about some of my odd dreams
If the world's strongest man
Could hold the world in the palm of his hand
Would he crush us all into dust?
As a way to punish us

That seem to occupy me
If a giant…
A very bitter account of leaving a job.

Yet here I stand any way
With a can of gas and a match
In my hand
Thinking how after all this time
Still not sure what's yours and what's mine
And neither of us is…
A very bitter account of leaving a job.
Don't burn the bridge they say
Yet here I stand any way
With a can of gas and a match
In my hand
Thinking how after all this time
Still not sure what's yours and what's mine
And neither of us is…
The story of a car crash.
Had the dream again this morning
Pictured just how it would be
Saw it moving in slow motion
Felt it rushing up to me
And suddenly it's happening
I can't seem to make myself believe
Clench my fists
Lose my…

Hey there voice of thunder
As you lie there flat on…

I've heard rumors about the vocal recording technique you use, but you have to hear it to believe it. That's really nice -- encompassing stereo effect..
I just listened to the awesome cover version by Keith Landry and had to come to hear the original song. I like this one too! :)
Well done. It's getting too late now, but I'll be back for further listening :)
Another Sunday cover, this time putting an acoustic spin on one of my favorite tunes from RPM2010 - Communist Party by the great Sha-Pink. This song marks the first time I've ever used live percussion.
For someone who had the full sized G.I. Joe's as a kid, and fought with my brother using them, or shoes, or sticks, or whatever was handy, Joe got plenty of action. But since we had no sister, Joe didn't get any other kind of action. He was sad about that.
Good song, sir.

Got this in my car at the moment - kids sing along to the chorus...so do I, unless I'm at red lights and the windows are down, in which case I tap my fingers in time on the steering wheel, subtly. ;-)
Turn down the lights, relax and take an cosmotomic ride with a down-tempo vibe. Recorded for the RPM Challenge, Record Every Month Challenge, September 2021
There are too many battles to fight in life, sometimes it's best to just walk away.

Can you hide in happiness
Can you disguise the sadness in your voice
Could you play only major chords
Can you hide in happiness
Choose a part of you to show
And no one around you can know
Just how deep the scars go
Can you hide in…
Now with more awesomeness! Thank you to This Wretched Vessel Lead vocalist for adding in some Gang vocals to beef up the chorus. Also borrowing their percussionist for some tambourine to give the song some extra pop!

This is like a lost Railway Children song from a session where they were letting one of the other guys sing for once. Nice work, and it features your usual upbeat lyrical content! :)

Yes. You, an acoustic, some smart lyrics and a catchy tune. That is a formula that works for me.

I was going to say this is my favorite track but that actually comes a few songs down the line. Still, I like this ode to toys quite a lot.
You know Tim, I really like you on these little acoustic songs. Just you and the guitar. This might be your thing. Very nice.
This may by my favorite track on this album. It's so Zepplinesque. A totally different color from the rest of the tracks. Nice singing too.

I do loves me some DKM harmonies!
Very cool vibe!
Great closer and a great way to finish out the arc of the record. This a really wonderful EP, Ed.
Great energy and great fun.
I totally want to see the movie trailer this should accompany! Major bonus points for the trumpet, too.
Apparently Ed likes the Allman Brothers. Who knew?
Excellent song and killer guitar tones!
Such a catchy chorus! At times you really remind me of Eleanor Friedberger.
I love hearing you embrace your pop sensibilities. Another home run.
Wow. This is really great. The key are perfect and the affected vocal sounds amazing. And then some perfectly placed drum bits. Well done!
Whoa. The revision with the new backing vocals is really great!

Great space and sound, sir. I look forward to hearing this in context of the larger story.
I wish this were four times longer. So, you know, like two minutes long.
Man... there's something about your melodic choices that I just adore. Nice work!
Wilsun, the remix king!
I’m honored to be chopped up and reconstituted so. Great work and great fun! Ow, if you’ll pardon me, I need to go find a shiny shirt.
Great voice and a great bit of talent here. Your EP is quite excellent. Keep up the great work!
Spectacular! There's sort of an Eleanor Friedberger vibe to this that I really love. MORE PLEASE!
Wow. That really opens up at 2:00. Great stuff!
