13 minutes! Fail! I recommend you augment your self a bit (with a glass or three of red wine or whatever floats your boat) and dim the lights, lay on the floor with your eyes closed where you can feel the bass rumble and get ready to be my passenger…

Damn, too early even for me. A cup of tea, I think!
Grabs the attention from the "off" and keeps it there. I like the change at around 6 mins and love the vocals at 7 which are very different. Oh here comes the percussion, this is not fail, this is success! Love the band at the end. Bethan

You know i've got a pretty good little tub-preamp but the bass has active pick-ups. I think my main problem is i need better guitar cables. I've been getting this subtle hiss from the bass and it's driving me crazy. I've checked and re-checked everything and it has to be the cable....it does eliminate some if i use the interface vs the line in on the computer, but i got the interface for my "upgraded" studio....which has windows 7 and so you can imagine how that is coming along. ;)
The song may be simple, but you should have seen the leaf. Being the first of it's kind, it really had to set the standard... which it far exceeded. It will be remembered as a great leaf.
Same here! My studio phones and my car are the best way to check stuff....one day when i get out of debt, i will get better moniters. I have always heard that the best way to check your song is to play it on the best and then worst set of speakers you can find, if both sound good, you mix is coming along just fine.

The first version.
This is the first and only song I wrote on [arrsuarez](http://alonetone.com/arrsuarez)'s Christmas gift to me, a mbira that he lovingly crafted by hand.

I love that the title has a period on the end. Almost makes it believable when it's below freezing outside.
Beautiful sound. You've really captured the feeling here.
For this I wanted to create some longing sounding atmosphere. To create the (somewhat annoying) guitar part in the second half I used an ebow.
"
you stand a long time at the door
observe the lighting on the floor
you are not welcome anymore
no…
I love the ambiance of this track, puts my mind in a good place. I put it on loop and the ink just spills from my fingertips in to almost recognizable patterns.
I made this simple song to try out playing an acoustic guitar with an ebow. It works, but it's quite quiet. The movement of the fingers on the fretboard is louder than the sounds. I didn't use any effects on the guitar tracks.
I recorded my voice…
A Song About Trying....
-Lyrics-
Maybe we can find a place where we,
can be truly free my love.
And we’ll find this place alone.
Where our hearts are guided.
The road seems Never ending.
Souls Lost in the dark.
Your light becomes…
Sitting around in my shop a couple of days ago with the Goodall and the Zoom H4N. First time I've really messed with using the internal mics on the H4N in multitrack mode
Song I wrote about 12 years ago. It took a death in the family to get it recorded and give it new life. All instrumentation, vocals and editing performed by me.
Thanks!
I think that was recorded direct in from my acoustic electric to my Behringer Xenyx 1222fx - the harp probably used a carvin condenser into that same mixer.
A collaboration that involved 5 musicians over several parts of the world. A crazy stalker tune - Has a soft/hard/soft format. Recorded with The Boss Micro BR(MBR), Mixed with Audacity and then mastered with the MBR.

First draft.
Dedicated to my mother on her birthday.
In the outro: Trombone, Horns, Clarinets, Mouthpiece buzz by Andy Hentz (arrsuarez) and organic drum related sounds by Glu.
done back in 2006, in my old dreary toronto apartment (i dislike toronto i think).
i don't really like it that much, too repetitive, but i need content up, and others have commented on their enjoyment of this particular song.
I took you seriously
I took it carefully
I didn't want to breathe too loudly
I walked around silently
I didn't say a word
Fear was there beside me
I know it sounds absurd
But so what?
So what.
I lived without money
I've lived without…
