At the end of this road
Red rock and blue skies
And the wind calls
Plant your roots in the ground
And the clean air that the trees share
You can't hear a sound
Deep in the heart of it all
Morning dew at the sunrise
Covered in fog
Fires…
2010 24 hour challenge. Record a 24 minute song in less then 24 hours.
Work has been so crazy music has been taking a back seat. I might have to try this concept again to get anything done on the creative side of things. :)

Sorry, I have not posted 1-4 yet ;) I'm actually up to 9 but they are just ideas for the RPM Challenge coming up. I was messing with 6 and 5 and decided to post them. Once I have more I'll give you a shout!
They left me home alone with my Fender Mustang and Marshall Amp. My cat ran away - and one of my ferrets stared at me for a full 30 seconds in disbelief and then decide telepathy was not going to make me turn down the volume. It isn't good…
Cool man, yeah anything you want as long as it's just one track. I know it sounds out there but I am curious to see what the hell all this will sound like....all these musicians playing there own style at the same time...I know it will be almost to complicated to listen to...but then again maybe by some weird cosmic chance we will all play random stuff that wil make one sweet song?? You never know till you try it!!!
This song is not for everyone but I like it because its a live recording with a single instrument using infinity delay FX. (I turned on the loop delay at :09 after the guitar was flat on the floor.)
All the sounds are made with an acoustic bass…
Norm played the percussion first, which is a Bembe pattern; I couldnt help playing a melody and creating lyrics for this perc track. Thanks for the listen, Enjoy!
It was a curious and wondrous thing.
One night I was in my studio adding some percussion to the "Quiet Rituals" track by Barry van Oudtshoorn, when my 4 young children (with whom I was long over-due to be tucking into bed and reading a bed…

Man, i need to go back through all your collabs now...:) This is yet another great track. I think your kids had the right idea, it fits perfect with the music man!
You're just kidding yourself if you thought I could resist the chance to add a bit of percussion to this wonderful song by Osckilo & Launched. I used Paiste Sound Discs to create a 3vs.4 polyrhythm against the delightful underlying 4/4 Spanish…
Vocal, fretless electric guitar, rhodes (Dimension Pro), tenor sax (Dimension Pro), and drums (Session 3 drummer). All but the drums are live performances.
The words by T. S. Elliot used:
(Orestes:)
You don’t see them, you don…
I really like this one chris....i downloaded it and have been jammin it in my car. It's a good "end of the day" listener....driving home....just after dark.
Hey man!!! Damn glad your crusing a.t again! So answers in order: march of the ants lyrics are posted and the album version of the track, little newer one, nope no band...been thinking of starting one again...yes steak and eggs are the sh+t and yes you do need more :)
First song of the year for me...
Recorded on New years day 2011...
-Good Times-
Words and Music By Tharek Mokbul
These Good Times,
In this Old Life
Are Earned...
Not Learned...
I’ve seen old faces,
Fade away,
In my mind…

This is a composition from July's '96, and it could be said that it belongs to a period in which i was listening to, and composing, in a kind of 'baroque' style, very influenced by J. S. Bach. I hope you like and/or enjoy it.
This is another of my miniatures, kind of 'baroque' style. It's from 1998, and I consider it my best guitar composition. Not a good interpretation here, but it took me a lot to play it this way after all these years. I hope you like and/or enjoy…
Mining the archives a bit. This is an alternate take of my "Jimi Jam" from a couple of years ago. Live to 2 tracks with the Jamman. Really only sounds OK when cranked up loud enough that your eardrums threaten to meet in the middle. LOL!!
