Out on the lawn there arose such a clatter!
Sometimes, as they say, Christmas do come early. I found Johnny Stone's "Christmas Rock In Oz" under the tree and couldn't wait until Yuletide to unwrap it. What a rockin' gift! I know a bit about…
In Argentina they say "in Argentina everything may change - except the tango", but I couldn't resist adding some percussion to this beautiful nuevo tango by Vincent Voois, composed in the style of Astor Pantaleon Piazzolla.

As I had nothing better to do last night, I had this great idea that I would construct a rhythm for the 24 hour challenge. This would be different: a 24 minute drum solo (I mean, who wouldn't love that?). I even had a perfect bass riff: the "Mother…
Well you had me wondering as I read the background story,I thought hell he must have been battering the bloody hell out of those drums, poor sod.....Nice track

There are 3 styles of the Rumba Guáguánco pattern: this one originates from the Cuban province of Matanzas (to the east of Havana).

@Bee: Yes, these traditional patterns frequently have a melody of their own, and while it can be varied to some degree, an audience familiar with the pattern (and the dancers) expect to hear that melody.
Otherwise the percussionist had better be playing behind some protective chicken-wire!
My contribution to the Angie Fights Crime album "Sunny, Sorta..." AFC wrote the lyrics and chords, then gave me free reign to do what I wanted from there.
I tried some very out of character things with the guitar. I think they worked…

Another one from last nights session down the cellar.........Well it was only a matter of time before Reg had enough of her, she reminded him too much of Desire......now he's gone.......it was goodbye.........
Eerrgh! I *knew* that Desire was a big mistake for you. I'm afraid that she might haunt you forever. (What ever happened to her??) Nice dog-house bass.
I salivated over this $3,500 guitar last night. I had the "expensive guitar room" at Guitar Center to myself so I played and recorded on my zoom H2. Yes, this is guitar p0rn...
I hijacked Norbert Oldani's excellent piano improvisation and add some guitar to it.
His original is here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5150711/PianoI911.mp3

I had this mellow tune hanging around when I heard "Love is Life" by The Two Regs and thought I need to catch the other Reg while he's around.
Lucky for me he had the time, the voice, and the melody. We created this lovely tune.
I was electrified…
