As requested, here are the lyrics.
On the night stand is a clock
counting down the waning hours
'til the fiery fingers of the dawn come crawling through
Burning eyes in morning sun
the engine turns more slowly now

Thanks, Gene. Thanks for listening and thanks for commenting on so many of my songs. I definitely have a formula for writing and recording that has been molded around what I think are my strengths and my weaknesses. For example, I will never, ever be a drummer, but a pair of brushes on a shoebox and a shaker can sub in just fine. Same with vox; I'm not a great singer, but I know how to squeeze my voice into harmonies that cover some shaky vocal work. I'm trying to break out of that formula and do more single vocals, lately, and it's been tough but rewarding. Again, thank you again for being so gracious to me and my music.
And @ Kirk and Wendy, thank you both for all of your support over the years as well!
Your development as a composer is stunning since a year ago when I checked your last RPM record out. I owe you a proper review of this record, which I will follow-through on soon. All that aside, this track is so pretty... really great all around. Good job!
Simply gorgeous stuff here. I'm only scratching the surface, but I'm already scrambling to assemble a list of people that should really be listening to your music. Tasty!

Wow! I love this song. Sounds so old time and the lyrics are amazing.
Really great song. The vocals and style bring to mind some work by Dawes, one of my favorite bands. This is cool!
