ha-ha-ha, I just did a song similar name Big Leg Woman for RPM this year. I was going to try a blues but ended up a bit different. Cool to hear yours. Nice job. :-}
It's sad that I will never be this cool. Genre-mashing at it's most interesting. Reggae? Alt-rock? Asian power-pop? Breaks to almost nothing, then comes back for a few more servings.
Outstanding wide sonics that still rings deeply dark. Loved the asian instrumentation sprinkled throughout. You're voice is captivating. I was thinking last night "who does he sound like?" and then it came to me. Leonard Cohen. From me, that is exceptionally high praise.
a song that I did on my own
have to drive a lot for my work, wrote a lot of songs about driving and this is one of them
KC
Driving down that highway
Steppin' on the gas
Blowin' down the freeway
Honey, it's a gazz
Got my eyes wide open…
The guitar part came first, and it was so much fun to just walk around the place playing it. It had to become a song. In a very circuitous way became the title track to this year's record.
Another one where the riff fell out of me on a rainy summer's day. The words came to me, or more like fell out of me, while stuck in cold airplane with just a few people, waiting to fly home.
This one's the single. It's fun to play and fun to sing when I was in the studio. It's meant to played loud. Actually, the whole album is. Thanks for listening! Cheers, Gary
A rocksong...
A song that I did on my own
all instruments and vocals by me
Rain – Who will stop the rain?
Rain – Who will stop the rain?
From falling on me
Falling on you
I wish the sky was blue!
Rain – Who will stop the rain?
Rain…
My first RPM cover of 2011. This one is "Like This" by The Missed Connections. I seem to have taken a darker turn with the song than Amelia did. It wasn't intentional, but it seems to be what I do when I cover her songs.
"I, do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same..."
Why
Do you
insist
on letting them
get away…
Patrick Poulou (Lafayette) and I paid tribute to those who lose their jobs because they are deemed too old.

Very cool indeed. This has a great driving back beat that keeps pushing this onward. Love that rhythm guitar almost sounds like Reggae.. Cool tune.
Love the echo effects on the chorus. Cool tune, man!
Nice searing tone on that guitar. Sounds like the strings were on fire. Very cool...

cool slow drive to this song love that break with the low bass A lot of reverb but I guess that was intentionally enjoyed! KC
i swear my dog was slowly nodding his head to this.
