"I Won't Kiss You Goodbye" may sound like another crybaby break-up song, but we wrote it after I got fired/quit from a career I'd spent too many years at. It's fun listening to the words with that in mind.
cool, the production has a kind of distant haziness that it drifts in and out of of, it's soothing but also a bit melancholy.
ha, did someone make a flub @ 3:27? "ssssshhiii*"
Another groovy tack from the Proods. Chad the Bad is the name of a terrible monster movie we shot back in ourMass Art days. It's been kicking around for too many years, so we're finally putting it out there, hoping you enjoy it more than my fellow…

I hope I don't meet Chad the Bad in a dark alley anytime, even though he sounds like a pal in the end... Love that guitar jam! So fun to hear new music from the wonderful Proods! Hope you all are well.
This song is based on the account of a friend, who had a drunken fling with a stranger at a party and regretted it BEFORE she sobered up. The title is a reference to the 1986 movie River's Edge, and the character played by Danyi Deats.
lyrics…
Heyyyy, welcome back. The sound is bright and delightful as always. I gotta say, the retro pop is apparent but never sounds like it's languishing in the past. It's a bubbly optimism that is sorely missing in garage rock.
She wakes across the ocean, and sighs when she discovers...the man who's sleeping with her looks like her last two lovers. No one wants to be a banana head.
This song was written after I had watched a documentary about Jonestown, which featured music from their choir. They were very talented and I couldn't help wondering if any of them had survived. I'd like to think that there were a couple of 'em…

This song was recorded with another verse, it ties the song together nicely but who the heck wants to listen to a 5 minute song about depressing stuff? We're really looking forward to feedback from those of you who've like…
The Proods have too many unfinished songs in the hopper...so much going on, but this is something we worked on years ago. I remixed it and finally think it might be passable.

Imagining my band imaginary band in my head on one of those 60's type music shows. Just having fun with this one nothing too serious lyrically like solving world peace or finding high consciousness ..although it really is a true story.
A track coming off my new Mixtape "Sounds of an Unknown Stoner" that is prod. and written by myself! I basically speak on how unfair the police can be and how I just want to be chill and high.
I was down at the station
Catch the Greyhound to Go My Way
And I heard the loudspeaker
We’ll be leaving some time today
You just Say no thank you
When I ask you to be mine
I’ll be looking for that green light
When I ask you the next…
Chris sent me over this track and i got to wondering what i could do to add to it. The tragedy of the Russian plane flying back from Egypt came to mind .....

The chaos of our time
rules our minds
The crazy

First totally self-indulgent solo work in ages. Started as something to prove I can still make time while I'm in nursing school, and turned into one of the best things I've done in years.
What happened to the colors of expression in the arts? I miss the 60's and 70's. Enough said.
Notes from my rock and roll music theory class...
Find a riff and milk it! Check .
Find a four chord bed of lettuce to put that wonderful salad…
This is a beautiful emotional song telling the sad story of the singer. It describes the emotions of the singer in a precise way.

you might find me lying under your bed, down on the floor
You swear you hear the creekin' coming up the stairs
you got your eye on the peep-hole and nobody's there…
This short thing is the earliest guitar composition of mine that I can still remember how to play.
Original composition date unknown, although I'm pretty sure I played this at the old house we used to live in - so composition must have taken…
I really enjoyed listening to your latest batch of music. It brought to to places I wasn't expecting on a work day...melancholy places of my youth. Thank you for that.
This one is still in progress, Jon the guitarist sent me a riff which i stuck together to get a kinda structure...so this is take 1....
I'm gonna kill a Mockingbird

I really dig the beat poet groove of this tune ...bongos? Far out baby!!! The audio at the end nearly tore me to pieces! If you cats are firin' up the grill, I wanna be there man.

Another good'n. I thought I commented on this before, guess not! Very tight performance, cool bass line and lovely vocals.
Good one, I really like the mix, especially the drums and electric. Melty and retro crunchy!
What a darkly inspiring song! Your ability to combine whimsy and tragic imagery is wonderful!
love it. getting that Beatles roll around..
Capturing the early 60's English beat in their own way! The Proods !
I love it. Good energy.
*applause* The Awesome Proods.
yes, great title and a true Proods tune. Listen to that wonderful reverb sparkling layer of guitar goodness.
This is fun, it's kinda 70's Ray Davies-y... which of course I'm a sucker for.
Been too long man, had to revisit to get some Proods in.
Like the song guys, reminiscent of a 60s sound to me. nice to hear from you again.
Glad to see you're back at it! I enjoy the dreamy flow of it, the flanged/trem guitar is nice and robust.
rockin! now im going around humming this with people looking at me like im crazy.
Hey Joe! Great song. I recognize who it’s about....he would have loved this! Email me a copy of the long version, please!

Well done.
Amazing....
Very clever lyrics and nicely mixed.
The harmonica playing on this track is perfect. Real bluesy!
Proods love you....never go away!
Great cover!
Cool
I like this...I wish it was longer. A 10 minute version would hit the spot.
Bravo...I love the bass on this track. Amazing lyrics.
I like this very much...it reminds me of 80's alternative music that I still really dig.
Another download...60's and 70's were the ACME! You nailed it!
I had to download it to dig it, but it was well worth it. VERY COOL track!
You're on your way!
Wunderbar
Ha Ha! AWESOME!
I had to listen twice! Bitchin'.
I really enjoyed listening to your latest batch of music. It brought to to places I wasn't expecting on a work day...melancholy places of my youth. Thank you for that.
Excellent! You guys are well on your way to filling all of the gaps left by the classic rock gods.
I like the vibe of this track.
