two recorders and a flute get together in the back of a countryside English church late in the afternoon.....
NOTE --- you may need to turn up the volume a bit for this...
piece #6 of a cd i am writing of early music

Richard thank you so much for your support. I don't have a problem with simple though it is not something I strive for. Talking to God is hampered more by my inability at the keybaord. However I could not have written that piece on my guitar. I have great respect and admiration for someone like yourself who has command of the keyboard. I have a heck of a time putting to hands together to make something. Chris
I recorded the vocals on this about 14 years ago. An amazing pianist friend of mine from Europe, G.Longabardi, played the piano. Jonathan Sacks from California flew to Texas to co-write the music. If you're out there somewhere Jonathan, contact…
very nice,, i was just listen and reading your sign in "from as far back as birth and proud of it" gave me a slight happy laugh,, i lived in Del Rio for a year... i am not a Texan but i can appreciate your feelings,, also a very cool song
Enjoying a few tracks on this site with Indian flavor lately. My brothers legs were so red from slapping them to get the perc sounds in this track, I had to laugh, That alone was worth doing the song ;)
Enjoy # 92

Dead to the World
Just a shade
A specter, a ghost
No place amongst the society of perfect being!
Dead to the World
Alien, unwanted
Not here, unseen
Untagged, uncounted
Lost, unwanted, despised, no home, no place, no Soul!
Dead…
Written and performed by Tangmo and Jay Jackson. If my voice sounds a little sickly, it's because it was. I went into the hospital with life-threatening heart and respiratory problems days after laying vocals for this song. It remains a 'spiritual…
I sent the tracks for this tune to a friend of mine who owns a professional studio. I gave him no instructions on how to mix it, as I wanted someone else's take on the music. He created a very dry, intimate mix, focusing more on the acoustic guitars…
An intrumental Track I put together when Thinking about my family.
One Guitar represents my son, one my wife and one me......
Two Versions with Vox (Jim Higgins and Geir Alfsen) are also in existance.. not sure how to link to this site…
A song I wrote and recorded today.
Lyrics:
You gave me a look
that says you were gonna be mine
Held you close your body
shaking all the time
do you believe i can give you
everything you need
just take my hand and be
my hunger when i feed

Recording some match lighting samples recently and felt compelled to put some music to it.
I put the mic up to some raw acoustic guitar. Bass and lead added with FX. Norm added percussion, making it sound waaaay better.

Comments on richardlaceves's stuff
Moons and pianos, man, hard to beat that. Beautiful. Very well done, Richard. I can close my eyes and see the moon. Someday I must get a piano...
Beautifully delicate piece, Richard!
I missed the eclipse the other morning, but this more than makes up for it. Beauty.
Had to download, there will be a bright moon on the lake tonight - and this one will be perfect for the dance of the moonpath on the water
nicely colored Richard. Very elegant playing.
Too beautiful for words!
brilliant, most brilliant! your motif is very evocative - and the playing is carrying a lot of emotions..
This is music to sit back and dream away... Very nice.

Wonderful.
I really loved your complete piano sonata Richard, it's a really good and complete work!....... yes! let's do something together now!
wow !, I almost missed this. I really enjoy your piano pieces, I think the transitions are very addictive.
Sounds so lonely and melancholy. Truly lovely, beautifully played and I like the different melodies in there, very pretty.
