Recorded in a line cabin in the LaPlata mtns of Colorado with my wrangler buddy Monte Risenhoover. He is a real life cowboy to his core. I wrote the song for him, so he sang along..recorded in the 80s..

No more kings....I wrote this song during the first Iraq war. These never ending wars that Hunter Thompson predicted after 9/11. Not the best recording, but the only one. Recorded in Ed Abbey old Moab Utah house, early 90s.

Recorded this late at night while camped near Newspaper Rock in Utah. In the morning we saw tracks of a mountain lion that had been circling our camp...

Woah. This song's getting posted? I remember Randy and I recording this song out in Spanish Valley. I'm ok with my drum programming but was always not pleased with the extended synth-flute improvised solo towards the end so thanks for chopping that! Much better this way, and the vocal effects are also a nice addition.

Desert Magic has become my most popular song. I wrote it in the 70s. This was recorded live at Star Hall in Moab Utah, I think 1994.

I wrote this song when I was 15 or 16. I was hitchhiking from Austin TX where I'd been playing music, back to Utah for xmas. I was stranded in the cold rain, no money, no ride, outside of El Paso. Recorded it years later..
