Hey, Jana. It's Keith (Landry). You have my deepest sympathy, my friend. This is simply lovely. A beautiful sentiment for what sounds to me was a lovely man.
What a beautiful tribute to your father! I listened to it on what would have been my dad’s 89th birthday had he not passed away in 2020. Going to look at some old photos of him now.
My dear friend Brent Kinder asked for some covers of his AFC songs, and this is my attempt at covering the excellent song Sideways from his Orange album, which is available on Alonetone in its original form. I'll include the link here, but I'm…

TIME TO HEAL

Some secrets stay inside

A seven minute epic with a killer hook chorus, eh? :) What a way to conclude a really magnificent piece of work. Even though this was only my second listen through it felt like all of the songs were old friends that I missed having around. That says something. Not sure what though... :P Anyway, stunning piece of work this album - as always. Not the least bit surprised to be awed once again!
This one is a bit off the beaten path for me, but was fun to record. It has some great tonal coloring happening throughout, so take a listen. See if you can guess what it's about...
I played this one fairly straight. It still sounds a lot like the raw 30 second idea I recorded on my phone in an elevator in Chicago in early Feb of 2010 and discovered this RPM season. It's not about what you think it is.
A song to get up and dance to, much like you get and dance when someone whose loudly voiced opinions you don't share is sent packing. Narcissism and hero worship have no place in a civilized world. ;)
This could be The Clash or something. Love those layered harmonies, fun counterpoint that breaks the song away from being all about riff, beat and energy. Finessing, mr Fox? ;)
Who should come down the cellar to see Elvis but Bon Scott. Reg got on with him like a house on fire, i mean they have a lot in common. Reg told him all about his new love. S o they decided to jam and this is what they came up with…
Hey this sounds a lot like Dan McCafferty singing though! :) Went on a sea cruise with Nazareth the other year. Memorable... Can't remember visiting the cellar but on the other hand I don't remember much anyhow.

Excellent track mate really enjoyed it.
Whew! It don't get much better than that. Nice track Jana.
Nice production skills
This album is a phenomenal piece of work, Jana. It may be your best one yet. Each song is a powerful one unto itself. Congratulations!
More majesty, and killer chords and arrangements...
Such a beautiful song, Jana. You really are a craftsman.
This song kicks ***.
Love this song, especially the slide work.
Majestic, my friend, majestic!

The acoustic guitar in this song sounds fantastic! Whatever you did to make it sit that well in the mix, it's just right. Ribbon mic?
Some really interesting harmonic turns in this one. Appealing and intriguing, evocative and suggestive.
Great harmony deviation in that chorus, and love that crazy middle eight part!

Already the starting riff has me bobbing the old head, and that energy lasts the song through. Great opener!
A hint of the Doors on this one. Nice groove.
Nice touch with the answers. Actually, the Be my lover line is pretty hooky. Build on that.
A little New Orleans blues sounding. Good work!
This is great. The playing is restrained, and yet this is precisely what lends the song its power.
Nice musical tension here, coupled with the minimalist lyrical observations. Really suggestive, quite an effective piece. Well done!

Quite good, and interesting from a compositional view. A little reminiscent of Adrian Belew or Robert Fripp, although more laid back.
Lovely straight up blues. Faved.
Sounds like you had a lot of fun recording this. Rockin, and a great hook!
That's a funny observation that I can really relate to! :) Nice melody on this one.
Beautiful! Especially love the harmonies and the added energy in the middle eight.
Real hooky. I'm maybe missing some honky tonk piano in here to add some zest to the stew. But it's cooking all the same.
Funky and original groove, with some odd periodicity that adds to the freshness. Well done!
Fresh, attractive and memorable melody. Great start to the album!
