Well Reg has found himself in some difficult times in the past and has needed his time in the Asylum just to let time catch up with his mind.........this track is about such a time...when his affair with lovemebaby turned sour.....
the wall, the nurse that loved me and everything that seems to find a place inside my head all the same, great stuff, sorry I have not been more available lately, been a roller coaster ride of being sick, on vacations and now without ability to work on music. soon be back to drawing boards! :)
This one has caused quite a bit of discussion between us on how it should be mixed. Has anyone got an opinion because we would like to know how you would have mixed it, where would you have put the bass, piano, drums, voice, guitar etc. Any constructive…

Reg has been reading a lot lately he's currently reading an interesting book called "Storming Heaven LSD and the American Dream by Jay Stevens" and so he decided to revisit A Toast to the Stone-age he did with Norm during Johnny's death and before…

SHAKEDOWN (Lyrics)
Is this a breakdown
No it’s Nothing but a shakedown
Can’t we let this go
ooh I don’t know
Is this a tell and…
Reg had a bit of tiff with the Mrs so he stormed down the cellar to release his anguish with Elvis and turned it into this little beauty .....now he feels a lot better and is making Mrs Reg a nice cup of tea to say sorry....because lets face it…

Excellent work! Welcome back other Reg!
@ Beth: Well, since you had to ask! Yes, the percussion here is very nice: I would classify this not as Bossanova (a Brazilian pattern built upon Samba type rhythms). To my ear, this is afro-cuban and would be in the "Son" (aka Salsa) family, in which the "2" is the primary accent. There are a variety of patterns in this family, differing primarily in tempo:
Bolero; Guajira<104; Danzón = 104-132; Cha-Cha = 108-126; Son = 122-224; Son Montuno = 184-216; Mambo = 224-264.
Spontaneous little ditty about carelessness and always staying on the move. Quite different from the murky, depressing trite I always seem to end up composing.
This started out as a loose solo guitar jam around a simple chord sequence, and…
Written for Noel MacDuffie's dance theater piece, Soul Descending, this scene takes place on the morning after William's funeral and sees the the women of the island resume their mundane tasks, working the land to eek out their existence. Abigail…
My girlfriend was born in the Middle East, that's why I've come to listen a lot to Arab, Persian, Turkish, and Tuareg music. I improvised this song within a few early morning hours after coming home from a concert by the incredible Tuareg rock…
This is a special request by Sister.
It's kinda sloppy. Frankly, because I suck at it :)
I'm not much of a cover musician but I gave it hell.
It's mostly analog. MIDI drums, DB33 organ patch,
strat leads, and Ibanez chords, Dean bass…
I asked CaptGene for something funky, trusting that a fishing guide from Babsom Park would know exactly what I was talking about. He did. The Captain knows funk.
I used to have a link to his original version here, but that is no longer available…
8. I only want to procrastinate
I started recording this on 28 february and added lyrics and vocals two hours before midnight the 29th. It's my favourite now though it's kinda dumb. I started with a drumrythm from a crappy Yamaha Portasound keyboard…
Guitar/Vocals: Liam Sanders
Percussion: Norm
A song I wrote about feeling undervalued, with percussion from the wonderful Norm.
Lyrics:
I should be more than a Sunday afternoon watching awful films.
I should be more than the shirt you…
