Damn- I had forgotten how brilliant this was! I hope you're still out there making music man!
nice; nice, my friend. so nice, this 'chorale', then mute-rock groove
Why not, indeed. Distant voices / scratchy voices ---most compelling; thanks.
Well then, looks like we've started an inspiration feedback loop. I'll be trying again 8/30 if anyone is with me.
BTW this is one amazing piece of work. The bar is raised too high, and I can't see it anymore. Next time 'round I'll just stroll right under it.
ahh yes! The The!! How did I forget about them? Didn't they sign onto Nothing Records awhile back?
Brother, you've come a long way from that half naked long haired little wild man riding his rocking horse to it's exreme limits in the living room ;) Amazed at what you have created here. Love - D
Barney! "Ears held hostage" wow! Thanks, my friend. Really digging your more recent stuff.. Cannot wait to hear the finished EP! Good luck, and hope you are enjoying the new gear!
an epic drama, classic and elegant, weaving story and mood perfectly...wonderful track glu...crafted excellence..my ears are held hostage by you.
Wow this is something else. It does have that beatle flavor to it. This is magic love it glu nice one mate.
"meeting of the Beatles and Trent Reznor" ---and "this is the trailmix i want to bring with me through the circles of hell" OMG!! These are such flattering comments! Thank you! :-) and thank you for coming along for the ride through bittersweet purgatory; do not forget to buy a postcard!
where'd my comment go??? i compared you to a meeting of the Beatles and Trent Reznor. but with a genius of all your own. i am zero percent surprised that you, off all people, could make so much fresh and awesome music in 24 hours.
something is so Beatles about this. i imagine Paul collaborating with Trent Reznor. i hope you don't mind being compared to other artists. other geniuses. the thing i really really really really love about the chord progression is the last chord of each phrase in the chorus. how it goes THERE, instead of There. this is the trailmix i want to bring with me through the circles of hell.
dooope.
@ kirk, look forward to finding out which ones are your faves! Thanks again for listening... I'll try to get these individual tracks up soon, once I attempt recovery ;-)
Also till can't believe that all of you pulled off this quality in 24 hrs. I practically crucified myself over a damn track less than a minute and half long!
I'll be looking forward to new versions of the individual tracks. I definitely had my favorites from within the 24 minutes
Thank you to all who took the time to listen and comment. I'll soon post newer versions of each track (separately). I hope it was an enjoyable twenty-four minutes. cheers.
I am speechless, just so cool!!! GREAT music, words, feel, and mix!!!!
Hi there... The comment you left made me curious ! And you've got really good stuff here ! Kinda NIN influence that I love !
Holy wow! I can't even fathom being this creative for an afternoon, let alone 24 straight hours!
Very cool. Love the atmosphere and all the different layers of sounds. Also, Thanks for the comment about my song and bringing up the drums. I'll try Track Therapy, too.
OOOH- 5 minutes in now and enjoying it. That mood shift right before the 5 minute mark is really cool!
What can I say? This is beautiful and I think I shall listen to the whole thing all over again :)
