This is the instrumental version of A Cast of Billions. I have a hard time judging my own voice (thus a true singer I am not) and it seems this vocal was rougher than most of mine. So, lets try over again with this mix.

I think I bit off more than I could actually chew this time and I apologize to Norm and Reg about that. This is a setting of verses from Contemporary English Bible Version of Daniel Chapter 6. I don’t think I orchestrated as much drama from…
This Prelude in 18ET comes from a challenge on the microtonal tuning list to write something in the whole tone scale that didn’t sound like Debussy or Satie. This prelude has decidedly Debussian whole tone passages. All 3 whole tone scales…

Well, you are not going to often hear a 70′s metal piece from me. I have to plead affection for genre as it is what I grew up with in my garage band days. In this piece I put to use my stratocaster copy strung up with “Not Even Slinky…

People think I'm insane because I am frowning all the time
All day long I think of things but nothing seems to satisfy
Think I'll lose my mind if I don't find something to pacify
Can you help me occupy my brain?

Hi Richard, the tuning I used for the Magic of Belief has much more than major or minor and I used almost all of the. The opening plays with the chords CDG, CEbG CEb^G (a "neutral" third about half way between minor and major) and CEG (except the E is a purer 3rd than 12 equal)
The main motive bottoms out at what my ears are telling me is a neutral interval against a D neutral chord (but I'm not 100% sure, I didn't work it out - could be D minor)
A shorter, stripped down version of a drone piece I submitted for the ongoing Fukushima Drones project, which you will find here:

What with all the great Zep covers posted by Tworegs and Chris Vaisvil, here's mine, I enlisted the vocal of the man himself, thanks Reg! Also note my new fretless strat as second guitar here.
Thank you for the comments. I don't often comment here anymore but I do want to answer your Rhodes question. I believe Ben uses a Yamaha Motif. The clarinets are real. I'd love to hear your new age version of Stairway - that would be grand!
here is a song from 72, by bread, that I always wanted to make a harder rock version of. an idea I have had since the early 70's. this was one of the rockin' songs by bread who did a lot of mellow love songs. there is something fun about turning…

I REALLY love the R channel guitar riff.
I'm like a clock.
Nice middle Eastern flavors! Really dig the percussion!
The music and rhythm are perfect for the story. Reg is great as well, as usual.
Very melodic Chris. Beautifully done.
pangs of ELO vs Beatles nice tune CV
dude I can feel you breaathing! X3 this sounded really cool, keep it up.
wicked guitar
Excellent cave passage,,,micro-tonal
Ozzy Jr. Vaisvil
Sweet guitar licks
Cool sounds! Great crunchy percussion and ingenius clocky sounds. "Clocky"...yeah, I know what I mean! Ooh, sax!
Quite a departure! Vocal reminds me of Space and Elvis Costello! Great track!
Throbbin'!
It's a big story to tell in under 5 minutes... but I like what you have done and Reg's vox is great as usual.

I'm up for a collaboration. Perhaps I can play my long string harp which you can manipulate and videoize.
True, but doing that is hard without practicing in the new key a bit. This was more for the fun of it.
Can I make a request - The Wizard by Sabbath?
nice job on this!
Lovely orchestral piece!
This is a beautiful piece!!

Awesome! I love your fretless work!
love the sound of your synth here - reminds me lot of the old CS-10 I once had a very long time ago. http://www.vintagesynth.com/yamaha/cs10.php
