This is an experiment where I slowed down Norm Harris’ percussion track “7th Son†http://alonetone.com/norm/tracks/7th-son and slowed it down by a factor of five and ran it through effects and such – and then played along with my 17…
love the sound of the slowed percussion each beat seems to shake...sounds like musical devastation the twisted sounds in the silence after something major just happened...an earthquake or Tornado...with a man in a Pink Tuxedo running around crazed in the wreckage looking for his lost Bride.......
Fisherman and the Siren by Lord Frederic Leighton
This is a blues collaboration between The TwoRegs (vocals / lyrics) and Norm Harris (percussion) and myself (17 note per octave electric guitar and fretless bass).
We hope you enjoy it…

Norm has been teaching a master's class in percussion and gave me (a lot!!) of guidance to try to add bass properly to this. I added 5 string bass, Fender Mustang and GR-20 sax to his excellent Tumbao track. We hope you enjoy it.
My Life has Become
I have all of these memories
That come on back to me
I don't know what to do
I don't know what I should do with them
Out of nowhere they cover me...
Like a breaking beam of light
Like the star dust in the night
Like…
I played 12 string guitar and 5 string bass along with Norm's original percussion track http://alonetone.com/norm/tracks/7th-son. The only effects were a bit of attack shaping on the bass (compression w/o compressing).
I did this kind of oddly…

Another oldie as I work on other stuff. State of the art PC sound in 1991 was the Adlib card with one OPL2 FM synthesis chip w/o audio capability. Limiting as that was I still had a lot of fun with it. This is one example - I love that lo-fi…
Doom! Count me in!
(Ha! Had to laugh as the 7 sec. mark of this one has that "squeak" sound that I have previously misinterpreted in other songs as being a squeaky bass drum foot pedal... what do I know about computer generated music?)

I think it is very smart that AT does not have a system of "ranking" or "rating" songs other than "favorite". Such a system, by it's very nature, is just going to hurt somebody's feelings.

Chris,, where to begin? perhaps it's best to just listen? beautifully relaxed playing, your touch here is "simple" and so full,,, (which to my way of thinking is the highest praise i can say, i think you'll understand),, 2nd listen,,,, i often consider the silence between the notes to be as beautiful/important as the notes themselves,, seems like that to me here..... i believe you have created a small master piece here,, well well done ps thanks for you listen and comments on WN,, i always appreciate them Richard
I was listening to Jesmiaus earlier Trick of your love (RPM2012) and it gave me an idea for my first RPM this year...so thanks Will...... hope you all enjoy this....i did doing it...they say smoking weed can make you schitzophrenic but i’m not…

Hi Kirk, typically it is easiest to start talking about notes as numbers in the tuning. So say for instance a a fifth would be from note 1 (or 0) to note 12 (11). This page may help http://xenharmonic.wikispaces.com/19edo
*Pilón* reveals a Cuban pattern, traditionally played on Timbales, but in this case on Jr. Congas & Congas (with gated reverberation and flanger effect). The rhythm of Pilón is based on the motions of pounding sugar cane.

Hi Kavin, if your new tuning changed the length between the 5th and 6ths fret for instance then, no you could not accomplish this by changing the tuning of the open strings.
On the other hand you can make a small trip into microtonality by retuning the open strings a quarter flat or sharp relative to each other.
2011 according to Regs research was pretty shit for most apart from the couple from England......it thought i would use a Chinese theme to the music being that they own it and it was the year they were able to buy most of it cheap.....note to…
Quite excellent and I'm only 2 minutes in. This is an amazing composition of ever changing aural landscapes. Wonderful!! and I'm 14 minutes in. At 15 minutes in I downloaded this piece. By 21 minutes you have taken me to a new never seen before aural vista overlooking the eternal. What an incredible transformation to an organ-ish sound at 25 minutes. Wow... the symphonic length was filled with symphonic sound. I love your piece! The closing flute like tones from your ebow is just perfect.

This is a “cross-over” pattern. Cross-over patterns are a type of enharmonic polymeter, where 2 rhythms with different numbers of beats/measure are played at the same tempo: the measures do not line up each time. These rhythms have measures…
This rough track uses my Blue Just Tuning system (go to www.johnsmusic7.com for details and a photo of the guitar). This is the same tuning Chris Vaisvil used in his Excluded By Peers piece. I hope to add some lead to the track soon.
Comments on vaisvil's stuff
