This is a first run at MIDI drumming. I have my kit setup to a new Alesis Trigger I/O box. It turns my drum kit in to a USB MIDI drum kit. Pretty cool toy.
Most of the kits I have in the software are dry to record. Obviously, the sound will come during the mixing of FX and such.
This kit/mix don’t sound authentic but it gets better as it goes. I think with some work and experience, I’ll get some good drums out of it.
Musically, it’s a 1-4-5 in D major. Also a hybrid analog/digital recording.
Oh yea and since it’s all a new rig, I sure would appreciate some honesty, I’m looking for YOUR opinion on high end, bass, EQ, that kind of stuff. Any tips on mixing drum tracks would be cool to.
looks like ill be downloading all your stuff to my ipod touch...cool music man!
For some reason this reminds me of Mercury Rev. Maybe it's the guitar solo, which, by the way, is awesome.
Hang 'Em High is great, and you've achieved some good tones and captured a good performance with the Alesis. Not that it matters, but Simfonik Plague hereby approves! Good schtuff!
This one's a real mix. Funked up folk. Love it.
This sounds very nice Paul!
Dig this mate sounds cool and it does sound Scottish for sure. This is great mate.
SOunds like you've done a little more work on the mix since the last version I heard... I'm not hearing the distortion any more on that synth track... and over all everything seems a little more balanced with more separation on the lead track. Nice.
I like this man!!
Wow, I never know what to expect from you. This is really folky - kind of Scottish, actually. Real pretty!
