great playing and singing. Very moving..don't know how I missed this one..
I'd love to do a song with you sometime..love playing keys with the accoustic.
well its nearly there. I like to put stuff that I am working on up so that I can listen to it in passing for a day or so, it gives me the chance to hear it with new ears. And maybe get a little feedback/ suggestions. I need to finish the vocal…
Great reverb on those vocals- takes me back to my discovery of my parents' "Surrealistic Pillow" LP at age 7 or so. Love the switch up after the first minute, especially the high theremin-like synth line.
2:45 very nice too.

Oh this very nice - reminds me a bit of early King Crimson/ELP. Oh btw, you asked about what synths I was using for pad sounds - I use almost entirely Native Instrument software, in particular Absynth - and I frequently layer samples in Kontakt, like strings with analog synth patches, as I did with the song you referred to. Anywho, great stuff :)

So this bloody flakey thing is still developing and I have started to play with some vocals. I have also made lots of small changes and changed the rhythm of the middle section completely

Yes, it does need something else, I don't play anything so I'm no help, but I can hear a vocal line with it. Yes, carry on, is what I say! Should be good!
Bit long this but stick with it.
Paul is a foreign chap that lives over the road from me in a house that he built with his own hands. He is almost completely deaf and shouts at you when he talks. He is self sufficient and makes most things from…

It hasn't been possible for me to record or write anything for the last couple months, so I decided mine the archives once again. Here's a set of Irish jigs I recorded in my basement...ok, one ot the tunes is call "Happy to Meet" (the first I…
This one is dedicated to my dear friend John. Thanks for changing my life for the better....
Also a big thanks to our own Greg Connor who helped me get the chords for my own uke accompaniment, and who kindly played the beautiful guitars…
As somone who teaches photoshop I have to agree nice album art. All I would change is to look at the colour balance and give the body a little blur on the edges to make it "sit" in the picture a little more,
Had to reload this due to accidental deletion.
This is the first song I made all by myself - words, vocals, bass, and highly FXed guitar- since I don't really play. The drum-track is by Boss BR-1180.
The song is about someone in a crappy relationship…
"Miss She" is another step in my late-blooming evolution as a student of music. It's more ambitious in terms of attempting to create an atmosphere of sound, and less ambitious in that I "wrote" the words while standing at the mic. (The next song…
I told the [good Sister](http://alonetone.com/sistersavage) that I wanted to try using vocals in a track and she offered to do me some abstract, stylized, vocals that I could play with and this little number is the result.
Working with wet (pre…
