A new one...
I wrote it on 5th February, and managed to record it in less than a month (a head-cold and lack of hearing in one ear slowed the last lap somewhat).
But seeing as the last one took over 8 months, I think I'm already ahead for…

That's six days and 22 hours longer than most of mine but then it does show yours are much classier love that guitar and the vocals as good as ever ... Great lyrics too

Finally, at last... I've got something finished...
Been working on this for a few weeks.
A bit of a rocker... (and an aging lecherous one at that)
I got it as close as I could and then mixed it loud... I've over-cooked it slightly - but…
I have been smiling for 4 minutes. My face hurts. This is such a rocker! I cant even pick my favorite line, but I think you said bag of trees and if so, that's it. Just great!

Jan 17 2015 - Remixed. I was always kinda disappointed with what the original mix sounded like. Listening to it the other day I realised what it is - I'd mixed the vocals too loud. This reduced the "stereo" and killed off a lot of the life…
I feel like I just got back from Narnia! Seriously though, the bass guitar is so cool and perfect in this song. I would want to turn this up loud on a wardrobe sized speaker!

Thanks for the encouraging comments and for letting me hear this song!! Wow! Such a great concept and hook. Imagery, vocals, production. Stuck in my head for the foreseeable future although, many of your other songs await!
So I was locked in the broom-cupboard, checking out some old songs that need recording.
I'd just picked one and then suddenly this thing came out of nowehere. It started with one of those guitarist doodles that other musicians love so much…

This one is a bit off the beaten path for me, but was fun to record. It has some great tonal coloring happening throughout, so take a listen. See if you can guess what it's about...
I played this one fairly straight. It still sounds a lot like the raw 30 second idea I recorded on my phone in an elevator in Chicago in early Feb of 2010 and discovered this RPM season. It's not about what you think it is.
This song sounds like a lonely road by the beach in the late summer/early fall. Try it out when the weather is cooperating with you. Then, reflect on who you are.
Sometimes we decide to do things just to find that it takes more than making a decision to actually do things.
WASTED TEARS
There'll be no wasted tears running down my cheek
There'll be no wasted cries in my troubled sleep
No wasted hours…

Don't let it go, don't let it burn out so slow; like a bar of soap in your match-jar.
Cause even when things hurt the most, don't let it go.
And when the wick burns out, when your house remains a parsed kind of fall.
When the rambling chords…
This one's a grower. Took me a couple of listens.
Love how your guitar playing seems to be changing. I like the percussive guitar styles you've used as well (in fact, I've been trying to figure out how to use them myself - not much success yet!) so don't drop them altogether!
Facebook is a horrible thing. The real world keeps intruding into the perfectly peaceful virtual world.

Real men, keep stealing', my pretend girlfriend
Real men keep butting' in. They've done it again. Real men

A song about, well, s**t happens, but all in all, it's alright. Thanks to TwoRegs (singing), Freight Drive Reprobate (singing and harmonica)and Lady Jane (Singing in posh mode). Hope you like.

That is one gorgeous guitar sound.
Monstrously good. Shivers down the spine good.
Aw... just peachy. You make backing vox sound just so effortless. And that's a cool guitar break, very cool.
And then the sudden change! lol (I thought it was someone else's track! - but then my friends the geetars came back)
Gnarly geetars... Like it :)
Woo - lots happening in here. Cool sounds. Nice one.
That's a gorgeous sound.
Heartfelt stuff. Very thought provoking...
Yep :)
Why have I not listened to this before???? Brilliant.
This is fabulous stuff. Really inventive playing and writing, and a superb voice on top of it all. I shall be back for more.
Wow, and it was live!
Flip! I like what you folks are doing.
Woo! This sounds good.
Crazy stuff! Nice one.

Oh yeah, like it. Love the big sound you get with acoustic arrangements.
Oh yeah, this is a real cool track. Love it.
Nice one. Very nice one.
Fantabulous. Wonderful. Superb. One of those "need a SUPER-FAVE button" tracks.
