At last... I've managed to finish something.
This was written months ago. I was about to try recording it with one or two others when this year's decorating started. With various buggered fingers, back muscles, etc, etc, I wasn't actually able…
So I was locked in the broom-cupboard, checking out some old songs that need recording.
I'd just picked one and then suddenly this thing came out of nowehere. It started with one of those guitarist doodles that other musicians love so much…
I wrote this little ditty back in May, did an acoustic demo and then played it to one or two people. I always meant to do something a bit more, er, "expansive" with the thing... So I stuck it in the corner for a bit and forgot about it.

I can't quite believe that I'm posting this, or that I've even recorded it. But I've played it like this sat on the sofa in the living room for many years, and I needed something to check out how to record a live "one vocal and one guitar" song…

The Glory of Love – Tiggy Acworth 121003
Let’s sing this song together, for the glory of love
Let’s get along together, as if forever is long enough
As if forever is long enough…
You always make me happy, you always make me smile…
Always love listening to your stuff :-)
(The missus popped in and made appreciative noises as well)
Off to Test Match Special now - come on England! lol
2013 Tiggy Acworth 130904
Remake of a track I wrote and recorded in Surrey in 1996, and then it was arranged and produced by Ken Burns in Bath. A popular track at the time among fans, this is my take on it now, in 2013!;-)
Ooo! (I'm listening to your stuff while typing emails in another window), suddenly this jumps out at me.
One of my favourite songs EVER. Mainly for the verses - I always find the chorus really difficult to do effectively, and I sometimes wonder if it lets the thing down a bit.
But I reckon you've managed to pull it off and make it work :-)

This is one of three songs inspired by the book THE HEALING OF FAMILIES by Fr. Yosefu - B. Ssemakula.
Only One
The Lord gives, the devil takes
One is love, the other, hate
One will bless, the other, curse
One reigns in…
Many years ago I read the Herman Hesse book Siddhartha. It tells the story of a family man who meets his dream girl and he leaves it all to be with her. She is what he lives for. Then she leaves him and he finishes his life sitting beside the…
Is this a new version? I'm sure I've already commented on this before.
Sounds like it could be a new version. But, what ever, I love it even more than last time. This is SUPERB.
Love the "odd" bass note at the end.
Had a bad back just of late (working to hard) so i put it in a song, and my favorite painkiller is ? you guessed it WHISKY.
PS The backs feeling much better now!
"Tether"
Whatever it was, is wasn't manumission
To spill the blood, to pull the weed
You can bury the past, but it's a mausoleum
With the ghost of a fist that won't let us be
Can we bring it together,
Can we call from the mountain to the valley…
Recorded Live in the cellar with a guitar track added after the initial recording....this is another song i wrote while in Germany ... hope you enjoy..
Comments on Andrew Russe's stuff
Great stuff.....
Aw that's ace. Nice one guys!
And a very nice broom cupboard it is too... still think we should have done some AC/DC :P
Really like this 'ballad with a cutting edge' Angus...great track! Dave B

Completely full of soul! w;-)
I am not now afraid to go naked, 5comets from here. loved the female backup voicings
Whoop! Much awesomeness here... love it! I couldn't help but sing harmonies to the 'She says' bit :)
Love the SOUL you put into this vocal! Great job!
Very well done. Especially like the vocals. The drums sound great as well.
Well done.
Ooh I like when the band jumps in full force. Nice punchy mix. That is a nice throw back riff and solo at the outro.
Smooth yet lightly grungy, like hot sauce on egg salad -- delicious! Rock on!
FMGWABP!
Nice and tight. Very clean recording. Well done Andrew. It would be fun to hear the acoustic version.

Nice one.
Oh good grief! Can't believe I've missed hearing any of your stuff. Faved and Followed.
Oh wow. This is right up my street. Absolutely gorgeous vocals. Love the song too.
Beautiful.
Oh this is the business. Love it.
Enjoyed that.
Oh yeah, another fine version.
Lovely, just lovely.
Love this.

Rockin stuff. I'm with James, it's got that fantastic vibe that The Who used to create. Loving the bass playing, and the guitar sounds are just "IT".
Like it. Don't know the original, but I like this.
Nice backer... nice waffle... = Nice one :)
Nice one. Love the live feel. It's got something of a "Led Zeppelin's acoustic set at Earls Court" vibe.
